WHO IS THE PURE VIRGIN BRIDE? – Ps Sita KOYAMBA

Who Is the Pure Virgin Bride?

Why does the Church of Christ increasingly resemble less and less the Bride He is coming to take? Are we truly ready to meet our Bridegroom?

Paul challenges us strongly in 2 Corinthians 11:2:

I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a pure virgin to Christ.

Not just a bride, but a pure, spotless, virgin bride!

The Church Must Be Ready

The return of the Bridegroom will not be announced with detail and precision. He will come for a prepared Bride, watching and praying, filled with oil and love for Him.

Yet, what do we see today? Many settle for lukewarm Christianity, with no consecration, no true thirst for Jesus. But the King is coming for a passionate Bride!

The example of the ten virgins in Matthew 25 is clear: they were all waiting for the Bridegroom, but only five of them were ready. The others, careless, missed their appointment with Him.

Why? Because they had no oil! The oil represents our intimacy with God, our communion with the Holy Spirit, our consecration in prayer and the Word. Without this oil, entry into the wedding feast will be denied.

Are you sure you have enough oil? Are you certain you belong to those wise virgins whom Jesus will come to take? It is time to take a stand and ensure that we truly reflect the pure and spotless Bride that Jesus is expecting.

The Bride Is in Love

Love! Love is our first commandment. Revelation 2:4 warns us:

Nevertheless, I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

Look at how passionate we were at the beginning of our journey with Jesus. We wanted nothing but Him! We thought of Him first thing in the morning, we spent hours in His presence, our hearts burned with love when hearing His Word. But where is that love today?

Many fall into spiritual routine. No more fire, no more joy in prayer, no more tears in worship. Just habits, empty slogans, mechanical songs.

Where is the passion of the early days? Where are the deeds that show we love Him above all else? If we love God, it must be evident! It must be heard!

Tell me, what bride is satisfied with a loveless marriage? When a woman loves, she gives everything. She sacrifices, she surrenders fully to her beloved.

That is exactly what God expects from us. John 3:16 reminds us:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.

True love gives, true love sacrifices.

If you are truly the Bride of Christ, then your love must be burning! Return to that passionate love for God. Open your heart and ask Him to rekindle that flame!

For only those who love Jesus fervently will stand firm until the end.

The Bride Is Submissive

Submission! A word many reject, yet it defines the true Bride. Ephesians 5:22 is explicit:

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.

If we are the Bride of Christ, then we must be fully submissive to Him.

Submission to Christ is not slavery! It is total surrender in a love relationship.

Just as a wife trusts the man she loves, we must trust Jesus and submit entirely to His will.

But the reality is that many want Jesus as Savior without wanting Him as Lord! They want Heaven, blessings, favor, but refuse to obey His voice. They run their own lives, make their own decisions, ignore divine commands to follow their own wisdom.

What kind of bride are you?

A faithful bride listens to her husband before making a decision.

Are you the one who seeks God before acting, or are you the one who imposes her choices, hoping God will follow?

True submission means His will comes before ours, His agenda before our plans. If we want to be recognized as His Bride, then we must make His Word our only authority.

The Bride Keeps Herself Pure

Jesus will not come for a defiled Bride. His Bride must be pure! Ephesians 5:27 is categorical:

That He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

The Church today is confronted with the defilement of the world. Immorality, compromise, worldliness, spiritual neglect… all these stain the Bride’s gown.

How can we claim to be virgins and pure while walking in impurity?

Every unconfessed sin, every tolerance of evil, every concession made to the devil stains our garment. It is time to have a holy indignation against all defilement.

It is time to sanctify ourselves deeply.

The Bride Desires Intimacy

The bride is drawn to her bridegroom; she constantly seeks to be with Him.

Are you in this intimate relationship with Jesus?

Do you truly take time to be alone with Him? Or are you one of those who only pray when problems arise?

The level of glory we will experience depends on the depth of our intimacy with God. The more time you spend with Him, the more you become like Him. Intimacy changes your face, affects your speech, transforms your character.

It is time to restore our relationship with Jesus.

Let Us Pray Together

Heavenly Father, I realize today that You are coming for a pure and faithful Bride. I want to be that Bride. I want to love You with fervent love, seek You daily, remain in submission to Your will. Remove from me everything that defiles, everything that draws me away from You. Rekindle the fire of my love for You, Lord! I want my heart to burn as it did in the beginning. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

🙏 If you have never given your life to Jesus, say this prayer with faith:

Lord Jesus, I recognize that I need You. I believe that You died for my sins and that You rose again. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Transform my life and lead me on Your path. Amen.
