EVANGELIZE? WHY AND HOW? – PS MODESTINE CASTANOU

GO! WHY AND HOW?

All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, make disciples of all nations!

Yes, Jesus gave a clear command. It is not a suggestion, not an option. It is a divine mandate! But today, why do so many Christians still hesitate? Why is this mission often relegated to the background?

There is a spiritual urgency, an absolute necessity to obey this instruction from Christ. For how will the world hear if no one speaks? How will captives be set free if no one proclaims the Truth to them?

Romans 10:13-14: For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?

Jesus is sending us. He sends us as messengers of His kingdom, bearers of news that transforms lives, that snatches souls from darkness and leads them into the light.

So the real question is: WILL YOU GO?

THE POWER THAT EQUIPS US

Before sending out His disciples, Jesus reminds them of a fundamental truth: all authority has been given to Him. This is not a mission carried out in weakness or uncertainty. No! You are equipped! The command to go does not come from a man, but from the One who holds absolute authority.

All authority has been given to Him, and He transfers it to you. He conquered death, stripped hell, and took the keys of the realm of the dead! From then on, it is no longer an even battle between us and the enemy. Satan is already defeated! On the cross, Jesus finished him!

Mark 16:20: And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.

When you go, you do not go alone. You are accompanied! He works with you. His power manifests to confirm that this message is the truth. What Jesus is looking for is a man or a woman willing to say, “Here I am, Lord, send me!”

THOSE WHO HEARD THE CALL

In Matthew 28, we see women rising before dawn to go and see Jesus’ tomb. Two women, not men. Two women who were not afraid to be seen, who were not afraid of reprisals. Where were the men? Hiding, locked away, paralyzed by fear.

But these women were the first to see the resurrection! They were the first to hear the mission: “Go, tell my disciples!” They did not wait. They set out immediately.

God is looking for willing hearts, men and women who hear His voice and obey without hesitation. The enemy does everything to prevent you from responding to this mission. He makes you believe it is the task of pastors or evangelists. He makes you believe you are not ready. But the truth is that every believer has received this command. It is the responsibility of EVERYONE!

GOD’S HEART FOR SOULS

Why go? Because every soul matters to God. His deepest desire is that no one should perish! He gave everything, sacrificing His own Son so humanity could be saved. His heart breaks to see so many men and women walking toward hell when the price for their redemption has already been paid.

John 14:2: In my Father’s house are many rooms.

There is space! God has not limited access to heaven. Grace has been poured out without restriction. So why are you keeping this good news to yourself? Imagine someone drowning before your eyes, and you are the only one who can extend a hand…

Let me ask you this question: WILL YOU REACH OUT TO SAVE THEM?

HOW TO GO?

Fear, doubts, excuses… Many want to but do not dare. Yet, Jesus sets the example! For three years, He did not stay safely in a temple. He went! He traveled through cities, through villages. He did not wait for souls to come to Him—He went to find them.

Luke 19:10: For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.

He did not just proclaim in a fixed place. He knew that some would never come on their own. He walked, He traveled the land, He went to those who were marginalized, rejected, broken. And today, He calls you to do the same.

  • By living Christ where you are. Your testimony, your way of life, your attitude can already be a powerful message.
  • By daring to speak. Some are just waiting for one word to be touched.
  • Through prayer. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you.
  • By using strategies. Use social media, friendly gatherings. Do not limit yourself!

LET’S PRAY TOGETHER

Father, thank You for the mission You entrust to us. Today, I choose to answer this call. Give me the courage and determination to proclaim Your Word with power and love.

Holy Spirit, guide my steps, open my eyes to see the opportunities You place in my path. Let all fear, all doubt be swept away, and let me become an instrument in Your hands.

Lord, raise up a people of witnesses, a people who will not remain silent but will proclaim the truth boldly. Make me a soul winner!

Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I need You. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Transform my life and lead me on Your path. Amen.
