“Don’t wait any longer! Manage your finances like a rich person, starting now!” This isn’t a statement to flatter your pride, it’s a prophetic decree! Why? Because you are rich. Yes, you! Even if your reality seems to contradict that, God’s truth precedes you: you are a man, a woman, made rich by Jesus Christ!
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, for your sake he became poor, so that through his poverty you might become rich. (2 Corinthians 8:9)
But why do so many Christians struggle to reconcile “faith” and “wealth,” even though Jesus Himself used the expression “rich toward God”? What’s holding it back? This message is a radical call to transformation. A call to step out of spiritual illusion and step into divine stewardship. Matthew 5:16 reminds us that our light must shine before others so they may see our good works and glorify our Father. Your wallet, your bank account, your ability to be a channel of blessing — all of that is part of this light!
So, are you ready to make your finances a living testimony of the Gospel?
Reality is what you feel. The bills piling up. Your account at its lowest point. Your paycheck too small. That may be your reality… But it is not your truth! Truth is what God declares: you are rich because something was accomplished for you at the cross. The poverty of Christ at the cross was heaven’s investment for your prosperity! And this wealth does not depend on an earthly inheritance, a diploma, or chance. It is spiritual, legitimate, eternal.
But if your reality doesn’t match this truth, it’s not the truth that needs to change. It’s the reality that needs to align! There is hope for you. It doesn’t matter if you’re on the mountaintop or in a deep pit, you can come out, you can rise, you can change that reality.
So proclaim it: I am rich! Not just anyhow. Not rich according to this world. But rich toward God! Because wealth that honors God is never accidental. It is intentional. It is the fruit of heavenly principles applied on earth. And these principles, God is revealing to you today, so that you may not only be blessed, but become a source of blessing (Genesis 12:2).
Many appear rich. On Instagram, they show you delicious plates, photoshopped business class seats, borrowed watches. But the truth? They are begging in spirit. These are mere optical illusions. Worse yet, some are genuinely rich, but their wealth does not come from God: it comes from the devil.
Yes! The devil makes people rich as well.
I will give you all this authority… for it has been given to me… if you bow down and worship me. (Luke 4:6)
This is the world. Some people prosper in the kingdoms of this world because they’ve agreed to operate by the devil’s principles: lying, fraud, immorality. No need to be a Satanist! If you apply the thief’s mentality, he is the one who lifts you up.
But you, God is calling you to a different dimension: to be rich toward Him.
God is the only reliable source, the only pure source. And when He makes you rich, He does so that you may share that wealth. The abundance in your life is a means, not an end. It’s so that works may shine, that your heart may radiate, and that your environment may glorify your Father.
Have you understood that what you hold in your hands doesn’t belong to you? Your finances, your salary, your yield — it has all been entrusted to you for a specific purpose. And that purpose begins with the first thing every person who is rich toward God does: give back to God what belongs to Him.
The tithe. Yes, the tithe! There is no other foundation. Looking for shortcuts? You’re wasting your time here. The tithe is the tenth. And it’s not an Old Covenant thing as some are quick to claim. The New Testament is clear: Jesus is a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek, and Melchizedek was honored by Abraham with the tithe. (Genesis 14, Hebrews 7)
You choose to give or not to give. You’re not forced. You are still a child of God. But you are preventing God from doing certain things in your life. Why? Because the tithe legitimizes God’s hand on your finances.
Bring the full tithe into the storehouse… and test me in this… I will open the floodgates of heaven… (Malachi 3:10)
Malachi 3:10 tells us that by bringing the tithe, God opens the windows of heaven, sends abundant blessings, and rebukes the devourer! When you don’t tithe, you put your finances in a joint account with the devil (and not the kind that needs two signatures—no… the “OR” kind: he alone can withdraw!). Want to try that? Be my guest. But know that as long as you do not give back to God what belongs to Him, you are living outside of His financial protection system.
To manage well also means knowing how to give sacrificially. The annual sacrifice, as fulfilled by Elkanah and Hannah (1 Samuel 1:21; 2:19), is a powerful spiritual lever. It’s not an offering you give in December out of panic or to “catch up.” No! You prepare it over twelve months, in faith and honor. Because you know that what you are going to give declares your level of faith for 2026.
God does not want your finances to stagnate. He wants them aligned to His will. Here are the nine allocations to implement in order to manage your finances like someone rich toward God:
Father, I thank You for what You have placed in my hands. Today, I refuse to live outside Your heavenly system. I give You my finances, my choices, my spending. May Your righteousness govern my actions. Teach me to sow, to give, to honor, to manage, because I want to demonstrate that I am rich toward You. I declare that I am a source of blessing, that my heart is an altar of fire, that my bank account is sanctified for Your kingdom. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
🙏 If you’ve never given your life to Jesus, make this prayer with faith:
Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that without You I am lost. I believe that You died for my sins and that You rose again for my salvation. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Change my life. Sanctify my choices. Lead my destiny. Amen.
