Jesus gave everything for you. But have you given Him everything?
Many Christians want to see the glory of God, experience His power, walk in a supernatural dimension, but they refuse to pay the price. The true price of glory is sacrifice. What have you offered to God? What have you surrendered for Him? If you want to walk with God, truly walk with God, you must step into the dimension of sacrifice.
Without sacrifice, there is no power. Without renunciation, there is no glory. Without consecration, there is no divine visitation.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God.” (Romans 12:1)
A fire without an altar will never burn, and an altar without sacrifice will never attract divine glory. Noah, Abraham, Elijah, Solomon… All encountered divine visitations after a sacrifice. So why are you surprised that your spiritual life is lukewarm if you’ve offered nothing? Today, God is searching for men and women who understand the spiritual law of sacrifice and will decide to give Him everything.
Look at Noah! After surviving the flood, when the earth had been cleansed by water, what does he do? He built an altar! He didn’t run to find shelter, he didn’t try to rebuild his life—no! He began by offering a sacrifice to God.
Noah built an altar to the Lord […] The Lord smelled a soothing aroma and said in His heart: I will never again curse the ground. (Genesis 8:20-21)
A sacrifice calmed God’s heart and the curse was broken!
Elijah on Mount Carmel! He didn’t just stand and cry out to heaven without taking action. He rebuilt the altar and offered a burnt offering. Only after he sacrificed did the fire of God fall from heaven.
The fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, the wood, the stones, and the dust. (1 Kings 18:38)
Without sacrifice, there was no fire! Why are you seeking power without understanding this principle? God never answers without a sacrifice. He never acts unless something is first offered.
Solomon: king by right of succession, but it wasn’t just inheritance that elevated him. He knew that without sacrifice, kingship was worthless. He offered a thousand burnt offerings. Who does that? A thousand whole animals given to God in one day!
In that night, God appeared to Solomon and said to him: Ask what I shall give you. (2 Chronicles 1:7)
A sacrifice that drew a personal divine visitation! God could not remain silent before such an offering.
You who want to see the glory of God, have you built your altar? Where is your sacrifice? What precious thing have you offered to God? What have you renounced so that the fire may fall? Do not weep over the absence of glory if your altar is empty.
There are families where death lurks, stagnation crushes, sickness destroys, poverty is an inheritance. Why? Because spiritual judgments are in place.
David, after sinning by taking a census of Israel, saw a plague strike his people. Thousands were dying every day. And what does he do? He didn’t just try to argue with God! He built an altar and offered a burnt offering.
The Lord was moved by prayer for the land, and the plague was stopped in Israel. (2 Samuel 24:25)
Sacrifice stops judgments!
Are there judgments in your house? Cycles of repeated misfortunes, divorces, failures, incurable diseases? A sacrifice can change your story. God wants to see an altar in your life. A sacrifice draws His mercy and releases His power.
There are so many people who cry out, “Lord, visit me! Lord, reveal Yourself!” But the question is: What have you laid on the altar?
Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God. (Acts 10:4)
And God sent him an angel!
Many say: “Lord, speak to me!” But God speaks to those who sacrifice. To those who strip themselves. To those willing to give everything. Don’t seek divine communication if you’re not willing to sacrifice.
If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple. […] Whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. (Luke 14:26-27)
Jesus wants everything. He demands everything. And He doesn’t apologize for it. He wants your entire life.
To sacrifice everything for God is to surrender your own interests, your plans, your projects. It’s not giving a little—it’s giving yourself completely. It’s not an offering—it’s an entire life laid on the altar.
- Genesis 8:20-21 – Noah and the sacrifice that stopped a judgment
- 1 Kings 18:36-38 – Elijah and the fire that responded to sacrifice
- Acts 10:1-4 – Cornelius and the divine visitation provoked by his sacrifices
Father, I want to be a living sacrifice. Today, I stand before You and I offer You everything. Burn in me anything that is not of You! Let my life become an altar where Your fire falls, where Your glory is revealed!
Lord, everything that keeps my life in bondage, every curse tied to my lineage, every judgment on my family, I come to break it through an altar of sacrifice! Today, I choose to sacrifice my life for You!
