DAY 1 – SEMINAR – THE NECESSITY OF A LIFE OF SACRIFICE – Apostle Yves CASTANOU

Jesus isn’t asking you for some things—He’s asking for everything!

God is looking for men and women who are willing to give up everything for Him. The big question is this: Are you ready to give Him everything? Are you ready to deny yourself and walk with Him like Abraham, Moses, and Jesus did? If so, then get ready, because God’s path is a sacrificial path where only surrender opens the door to a powerful spiritual life.

Colossians 2:6-7 – So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith.

You have received Jesus, yes, but are you walking in Him? Are you rooted? Are you strengthened? Many want to enjoy God’s blessings without adopting His way of life, but there is one requirement: sacrifice.

Luke 9:23 – Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

He didn’t say “once in a while,” but “daily.” Following Jesus is a lifestyle that demands dying to self and embracing sacrifice.

The revelation of sacrifice: a key to walking with God

The Kingdom of God is built on a powerful spiritual law that few believers understand: sacrifice draws God near.

Psalm 50:5 – Gather to me this consecrated people, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

God’s true intimates are those who accept to burn for Him, to deny themselves, to offer Him all they have. Not just a part. Not only when it’s convenient. But everything.

Look at Abraham. God brought him out of Ur with a promise. But that was just the beginning. After years of faithfulness, when he finally became father of the son of promise, God asked the unthinkable: to offer Isaac as a burnt offering.

Genesis 22:12 – Do not lay a hand on the boy. Now I know that you fear God.

Why? Because without sacrifice, there is no elevation. Abraham loved God more than his own son! He took Isaac, went up Mount Moriah, bound him, and raised the knife. And there—God intervened.

Everything in the spiritual world functions by sacrifice. Even darkness operates that way. Occultists sacrifice to gain power. They pay the price by offering blood, extreme fasting, sleepless nights. Even in the world, an athlete sacrifices desire for discipline. A great businessman sacrifices time to build an empire. And we, Christians, want the glory without the altar? We want God’s fire without consecration? Impossible!

Why sacrifice is a necessity and not an option

Luke 14:26 – If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple.

Loving Jesus is not enough—you have to love Him more than anything! More than your comfort, more than your relationships, more than your own existence.

Today, we see believers who are tired, unstable, and weak, because they’re constantly eating at two tables: the world’s and the Spirit’s. They want to serve God without sacrificing. The result? They go in circles, stay stagnant, and never experience the power of the Holy Spirit.

Sacrifice is the language of spirits! And don’t think it only has to do with material offerings. Sacrifice means giving your life. Denying ease, distractions, compromise, and carnal desires. It’s a life aligned with:

Romans 12:1 – Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.

God doesn’t just want your money—He wants you.

The levels of sacrifice: how far are you willing to go?

  • The sacrifice of your life – You no longer belong to yourself. Your will is submitted to His will.
  • The sacrifice of your time – Praying, meditating, worshipping, seeking His face as a priority.
  • The sacrifice of your desires – Dying to self, even when your soul struggles.
  • The sacrifice of your possessions – Everything you have belongs to God.
  • The sacrifice of your reputation – Being ready to be rejected, misunderstood, isolated because of your consecration.

Galatians 2:20 – I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.

To those who want to become disciples: are you ready to go all the way?

Jesus is not looking for admirers—He is looking for disciples! And a disciple lives in obedience, discipline, and sacrifice.

Being a disciple means placing Jesus above all else. It means being able to say, “Lord, no matter the cost, I will follow You.”

Those who understand this truth grow in spiritual power and break the invisible chains that held their families captive for generations.

Prayer of alignment

Lord, today I don’t want to be a spectator anymore. I reject a weak, unstable, and superficial Christian life. I want to be a living sacrifice. Burn in me everything that is not from You. Let my thoughts, my decisions, my ambitions—everything in me—be for Your glory. Jesus, I give You everything. Take my life and make it Your powerful instrument on this earth. In Jesus’ name, amen!

🙏 If you’ve never given your life to Jesus, pray this with faith:

Lord Jesus, I recognize that I need You. I believe that You died for my sins and that You rose again. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Transform my life and lead me on Your path. Amen.
