J3 – The Holy Spirit and the Latter Rain (Part 2) – IC25 – Apostle Mohammed SANOGO

How to welcome the dove: the bride dimension and the flames of the Holy Spirit

He who desires God, receives Him! But do we truly desire God? Or do we only crave an emotional thrill? A feeling at the altar? Are you really thirsty for Him, for His life, for His nature?

Jesus said to John the Baptist: “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” And it was then that the Spirit descended like a dove. The condition of the heart triggered the appearance of the flame. You want a visitation of the Holy Spirit? Then attract the dove, prepare the house.

When she descends, the dove does not come to play music with your emotions. She comes to transform your character. She comes to establish a spirit that is faithful, gentle, authentic, full of integrity. The dove descends to build the Bride! Not a carnal or shallow or unstable Church. But a Church that is stable and faithful. A Church on mission. A Church crucified to its passions, ready to be sent. A Church broken, submitted, passionate. A Church ready to follow the Bridegroom and carry His message. The dove does not just settle anywhere. She lands on temperaments that resemble Jesus. There, she spreads her wings. There, she manifests her power. This is the path of the Bride. This is the wind of the latter rain!

The first posture: thirsting for the character of Christ

True thirst is not emotional agitation during worship. It’s not repeating endlessly: “I desire You, I’m in love with your presence.” No. True thirst is the inner ache of not yet looking like Jesus. It is that sacred dissatisfaction that says: “Lord, I see Your love… but I do not love like You. Change me!” It is that genuine groaning from the depths: “Lord, I am still angry… my meekness is not Yours… I desire You!”

When we say, “I desire God,” what are we actually saying? We are saying: I desire Your love, Your way of forgiving, Your humility, Your faithfulness. I desire Your patience, Your perseverance, Your silence in the midst of opposition. I desire Your holiness. I desire Your stability. This is why we must desire not just gifts, but Your nature.

When you say “Holy Spirit, come!”, you’re automatically exposing yourself to the fire that consumes the flesh. He is the One who creates the capacity within you. You won’t make it on your own. You cannot love like Jesus loves unless God does it in you. But you still have to authentically desire it. You must be ready. You must say: “I agree. Change me.”

The Holy Spirit first descends upon hearts that long for Him. Paul said:

It is not I, but the grace of God with me.

When Elijah saw God manifest His glory, it was after building the altar. The fire does not fall without a prepared heart. Stop saying you’ll get better. Let the dove transform your soul.

The second posture: total submission to the will of God

When Jesus stood before John the Baptist, logic would have suggested the reverse. But Jesus said: “No, it is necessary for you to baptize Me.” Why? Because God said so. Submission is not just obedience. It is even deeper. It is a voluntary choice. The bride doesn’t follow because she is forced. She follows out of love. She chooses. She says yes. She gives herself.

The child obeys. The bride submits. She says: “Your mission becomes my mission.”

  • She carries the burden
  • She agrees without arguing
  • She willingly chooses to let go of the plans she had made

This is why Jesus says to the Church: “Submit.” He doesn’t look for people who obey reluctantly, out of fear of hell. He looks for lovers who embrace His plans even when they defy logic.

You want to be filled with the Spirit? Then submit. Say: “I surrender my plans. I say YES to Your mission. If You send me to South Africa tomorrow, I say YES! You are my Bridegroom. I rise up. I go!”

This is not forced service. This is love! This is the kind of love that says: “I am free. But I return to You willingly. I choose You.”

Like Esther. She listened to Hegai, the eunuch. A picture of the Holy Spirit. He knew the king’s preferences. Through him, she knew how to please the king. She wasn’t led by her whims.

Do you want to carry the fullness of the Holy Spirit? This hidden anointing of the bride does not come upon those who choose how to serve God. It descends upon those who accept direction without understanding. Those who say: “If it comes from You, I submit.” Nothing more. This is wisdom!

The third posture: becoming like a sheep

God never promised abundant life to everyone. He promised it to His sheep. Not to the goats.

John 10:10 — The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; but I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly.

A sheep is not just any Christian. Not just a punctual churchgoer. A sheep is someone who hears, whom Jesus knows, and who FOLLOWS.

Jesus said: My sheep hear My voice, I know them… they follow Me!

And to follow Jesus is not to sit at church. It’s not to have your Sunday service.

Luke 8:1 — Jesus went through cities and villages, preaching the good news of the Kingdom of God.

If you follow Jesus… then you go from village to village! If you claim to be His sheep but spend your days on the couch, you are not following Him. You’re walking your own road. You’ve got your own path. You’ve got your own ministry. But that’s not being a sheep! A sheep follows. Follows wherever the voice of the Master calls.

Still today, Jesus walks. Still today, the Holy Spirit is moving over the waters. And those who receive the anointing of the dove, they go… they preach… they plant churches! Want the Holy Spirit? Open a church! Want the flame? Carry His mission!

Look at the faithfulness of the dove. She never leaves the house! She always returns to the source. She is faithful to the message. This is why God has always used the dove to carry His messages. They are called “homing messengers”. Because they know how to come back.

But Lucifer… oh Lucifer! Magnificent angel, powerful! But he fell because he loved his own reflection. He left Heaven and never came back. He built his own house. He lost the dove’s faithfulness.

If you are a bride, you stay in the house. You don’t touch the glory. You give everything back to God. You don’t seek your own name. You always return the honor to the Father. That’s why God equips you. That’s why God trusts you.

When the dove descends upon a prepared man, it’s no longer to simply tremble with emotion. It’s to build. It’s to birth Christ. It’s to convert. It’s to make disciples. It’s to transform nations! Are you ready to carry His mission? Are you ready to love like He loved? Are you ready to be faithful like the dove?

When God gives you the Spirit in the form of a dove, it won’t be to put you to sleep. It will be to send you. He will say: “Go to South Africa. Take everything you have, like John G. Lake, and obey!” And in five years, he planted 605 churches. That’s what a man who follows the voice of the Master can do. That’s what a dove can do upon a ready heart.

Let us pray together

Lord Jesus, I don’t want fleeting emotions. I want to carry Your character. I desire to be like You. I desire Your patience, Your gentleness, Your love. Come Holy Spirit, faithful dove, make me a committed bride, a sheep who follows. I renounce my will. I’m ready to rise for Your mission. Lead me. Shape me. Send me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

🙏 If you haven’t yet given your life to Jesus, pray this prayer with faith:

Lord Jesus, I acknowledge my need for You. I believe You died for my sins and that You rose again. Today, I accept You as my Lord and my Savior. Come live in me and lead me by Your Spirit. Amen.

  • Luke 8:1 — Jesus went through cities, proclaiming the good news.
  • Matthew 10:16 — Be as harmless as doves.
  • John 15:5 — Apart from Me, you can do nothing.
  • Romans 12:1 — Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.
  • Luke 9:23 — If anyone wants to come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
