There is a truth we must engrave into our hearts: without Him, we can do absolutely nothing! Nothing of real value, nothing that bears fruit for Eternity, nothing that can transform a life. Jesus said it in John 15:5:
Without Me, you can do nothing.
This is not just a simple statement, it is a non-negotiable SPIRITUAL LAW. Who wants to see souls saved? Who wants to be a powerful instrument in the hands of God? But how? How can we trigger this level of impact, this tangible manifestation of His glory in our life?
The answer relies neither on our strength nor on our power, but on the Spirit of God (Zechariah 4:6).
So the real question is: how do we abide in Him to bear fruit? Because this fruit does not come from us! It comes from the connection to the vine, to Jesus Christ Himself. It is time to stop trying to act on our own and to be rooted in His presence!
Jesus compared our relationship with Him to that of a branch attached to the vine: the branch does not bear fruit by itself! It must absolutely remain connected to the trunk. If we want results, if we want to see souls come to Christ, see lives transformed, we must cultivate this continuous connection with Jesus.
Many try to act in their own strength. We want to witness, but our words don’t penetrate. We pray, but there is no power. We want to be an instrument, but where is the difference? Because so many are working WITHOUT being attached to the Vine! But without Jesus, it is impossible to bring a single person to salvation.
He alone saves. He is the One who heals. He is the One who delivers. He is the One who convicts.
So, the essential question is: how do we truly abide in Him? How can we ensure that this connection is strong and unbroken, so that He can pour His life into us and through us?
Abiding in Him begins first and foremost with an unshakeable faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. When the Church began, the first believers were not merely “sympathizers” of Christianity. They were possessed by a new certainty: Jesus Christ is the absolute Lord of their lives!
Some people want to see the power of God, but they have not made Him their Lord. They want the glory of the Kingdom without total submission to the King. But the more Jesus is your Lord, the more you remain attached to Him. The first Christians went so far as to give their lives rather than deny their Lord. Why? Because Jesus was not a religious concept in their minds, He was their EVERYTHING!
So ask yourself: Is Jesus truly the anchor of my life, or am I still attached to myself? To my personal ambitions? To my comfort?
Being attached to the Vine also means obeying His commandments. Jesus told us clearly that if we keep His commandments, we abide in Him. And His greatest commandment?
Love one another as I have loved you.
Many want to see the power of God but neglect the foundation: LOVE. You cannot live in bitterness, in conflict, in pride, and expect the anointing to flow. The early Church was filled with the Spirit because it was filled with love, with sharing, with genuine support. God delights in an environment of love.
Do you want to abide in Him? Then examine your heart! Do you struggle to forgive? Do you refuse to love your brother? God is looking for pure and obedient hearts to deposit His power.
Prayer is what fuels your connection with God. It is what fills you with the Holy Spirit. Without prayer, there will be no power! The early Church prayed CONTINUALLY, and that is why it was filled with the Holy Spirit.
Look at what Jesus did: He spent entire nights in prayer before going to preach. When He prayed, He was filled with power, and when He came down, He healed all the sick. His strength came from the secret place!
Why do some people walk with a powerful dimension of the Holy Spirit and others don’t? Because some pray, and others don’t!
Prayer is what attracts the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Let me tell you something: what you obtain through prayer, you will keep through prayer!
Many start praying, but give up too quickly! Jesus gave powerful parables to teach us the importance of persisting in prayer. He gives the example of a friend who comes knocking at midnight to ask for bread. By insisting, even the one who did not want to open eventually gave in!
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
God is waiting for us in this perseverance! He wants to see who are those who earnestly desire His intervention!
Lord, today I understand that without You, I can do nothing! I acknowledge that I need to be immersed in Your presence, filled with Your divine life. I no longer want to be a branch detached from the vine. Fill me, Lord! Make me a light to those around me, a channel through which Your power flows freely. Break in me every spiritual passivity, every slackness in prayer! Today, I choose to persevere, to press in, and to remain attached to You! Lord, pour out Your Spirit in me, like never before! I give You thanks, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I need You. I believe that You died for my sins and that You rose again. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Transform my life and lead me in Your ways. Amen.
