“He will wage war against us, but he will not prevail.” Did you hear that? The devil is waging war against you—not a physical war, but an invisible one. His weapons are not bullets; they are lies. And if you’re not equipped, if you’re not armed, you will fall. Why do so many Christians fall even though Jesus already won the victory? Because the devil uses an ancient strategy: lies. It’s his most dangerous weapon. Jesus called him a liar and the father of lies in John 8:44. But Jesus also said in John 8:32:
You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32)
Yes, the truth is what gives you victory. And the absence of truth is an open door to destruction, as Hosea 4:6 says:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6)
So ask yourself the right question: do you know the truth that sets you free? Or are you still a prisoner of a well-disguised lie?
Lies are weapons of mass spiritual destruction. And the devil won’t strike you with horns and a pitchfork—no, he’s far more cunning. He’ll make you believe that your discouraged thoughts come from you. He’ll plant thoughts in your mind—false doctrines, arguments, illusions—and if you believe them, you are already disarmed. That’s why the Spirit told me to talk to you about 5 strategic areas where Satan will do everything he can to lie to you, to disarm you, distract you, and spiritually strangle you. The apostle Paul warned us in Ephesians 6:11–13:
Put on the full armor of God… so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. (Ephesians 6:11–13)
And here, we have to be clear. If you believe you were born from a biological coincidence between your father and mother, then Satan has already lied to you. If you believe you are the product of your environment, your culture, or your ancestors, then your reference point will be low—very low. Why? Because you will act according to the source you believe you came from. Do you think you came from a better-dressed monkey? Then you’ll live according to your evolutionary system. That’s why so many young people are in impurity, despair, and depression. Because they don’t even know where they come from. You don’t come from your father. You passed through your father. But your source, your beginning, your origin—is God. Genesis 1:26 confirms it:
Let us make man in our image, in our likeness. (Genesis 1:26)
God is your source. That’s why you have value. That’s why your deepest longings cannot be limited to the pleasures of the flesh. That’s why there is a thirst in you that nothing on Earth can satisfy: it is the thirst for God. The Holy Spirit is calling you to the revelation of your origin.
Do you believe you are what your family, your past, your marital status, or your condition say you are? Then you are still living under a lie. The devil trembles before men and women who know who they are. Because their identity no longer depends on what they have or what they are going through. No, their identity is anchored in the One who formed them. You are a co-heir with Christ. You are a new creation. You are chosen. You are a light. As He is, so are you in this world. But as long as you ignore your identity in Christ, the devil will make you walk like a slave even though you are an heir.
Do you understand now why he always places people in your path to belittle you, diminish you, steal your worth? Because he wants to stop you from shining.
Proclaim it: “I am a child of God. I am chosen. I am sanctified. I am called.”
Do you believe you were born to struggle, eat, sleep, work, and die? Do you believe your life is just about surviving until heaven? Let me wake you up! You are not a cosmic mistake—you are a mission. An arrow in God’s hand. You are not a consumer; you are a carrier of destiny.
We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand. (Ephesians 2:10)
This means your life already has a divine trajectory. Heaven is waiting for one thing: for you to step into your mandate. The problem is, the devil doesn’t have to block your destiny if he can just stop you from believing in it. Do you think it’s over for you because of your past? Do you think it’s too late? Lie! It is never too late for God. You were not born to wander. You were born to shine.
Look closely: when you don’t know your potential, you envy someone else’s. But God deposited something unique inside you. You have a deposit. There is something only you can release on this Earth. You have a function, and all around you are graces, gifts, skills, relationships, and resources that God has already given you to walk in your impact. Do you want to shine in business, media, politics, healthcare? The seeds are already in you. The Holy Spirit wants to reveal your potential.
You are not small. You are not empty. But as long as you ignore your potential, you will whimper in front of others, thinking you are not good enough. Jesus sees what He put inside you: seeds of greatness, wealth, creative power.
We have this treasure in jars of clay… (2 Corinthians 4:7)
Do you realize that this treasure is already in you?
Ah, this is the devil’s most subtle tactic… If Satan can’t reach you directly, he will disconnect you from those God wants to use to make you grow. The devil will lie to you about your shepherds. Let me tell you: whatever you are called to become, you cannot do it alone. There are men whom God places as authorized voices to guide you, train you, and feed you. They are spiritual fathers and mothers. And the devil’s goal is to make you reject them, despise them, or suspect their integrity. He has always used slander and defamation to tarnish the image of God’s messengers. Against Moses. Against Joseph. Against Daniel. Against Jesus! He wanted to silence them. He wanted to imprison them. And sometimes it starts with your own mouth: “Something bothers me about that pastor…”, “I’m not sure about his intentions…” And without even realizing it, you reject those through whom God teaches you, covers you, corrects you, and launches you.
Because you did not recognize the time of your visitation… (Luke 21:43–44)
There are seasons when God visits you—not through a voice from the skies, but through a man. If you don’t discern His shepherds, you remain exposed, uncovered, and vulnerable. Do not let yourself be polluted by gossip, slander, or false accusations. Discern the voices that build you. Protect your connection to those God has sent to equip you. This is a mystery feared by hell.
Father, I bless You for Your word of truth! Today, I refuse to live under the yoke of lies. I reject the enemy’s lies about my origin, my identity, my destiny, my potential, and the shepherds You’ve given me. I rise up with the belt of truth. Holy Spirit, expose the lies I’ve believed! Detach me from every reasoning inspired by the devil! Open my eyes and establish my steps in Your truth. Let every weapon forged against me be made ineffective. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen!
🙏 If you’ve never given your life to Jesus, pray this prayer with faith:
Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I need You. I believe You died for my sins and that You rose again. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Transform my life and lead me in Your path. Amen.
