01/08/2025-Plan your obedience for a guaranteed elevation

Wednesday 01/08/2025

Many make big decisions and beautiful resolutions, but few go so far as to plan their transformation. Few understand that it is not mere intention that changes a life, but a firm decision followed by methodical action. This week, we saw together the importance of planning our character, our consecration, and our prosperity in 2025. We understood that faithfulness to God is not a matter of improvisation, but a structured commitment. Now, let us pause for a moment and take a look at how those who dared to walk according to this revelation saw their lives shift into glory. This is not an abstract concept, but a divine principle that God has already demonstrated many times. He transforms those who give themselves entirely to Him, who align their lives with His perfect plan, without reservation or compromise. Are you ready to see how God changes the life of someone who chooses to obey Him strategically? Then let me take you into the story of a man who chose not to live randomly, but to structure his obedience to God.

Joseph was a dreamer, but he was not just that. Many see his elevation as a mere twist of fate, a fortunate coincidence. But that is not how God operates. Joseph was a man who understood that God had a plan, and he submitted to it with discipline. As a slave in Potiphar’s house, he excelled not only through his work, but through his integrity. Nothing compelled him to stand firm against the advances of his master’s wife. Many men would have faltered, would have succumbed to the circumstance, would have found excuses. But Joseph had decided beforehand: “How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?” (Genesis 39:9). This statement reveals his spiritual planning: he had made the decision not to defile himself, like Daniel would centuries later. It was not in the moment of temptation that he searched for an answer. He already knew.

His obedience did not immediately lift him up—on the contrary. He was falsely accused and thrown into prison. But even there, he did not sink into bitterness; he did not spend his days lamenting the injustice. He chose to be faithful and diligent. He ran the prison as if he were managing a palace. He invested every season of his life to grow, serving with excellence even in affliction. He was not a man who merely endured. He was a man who planned, who structured his faithfulness blow by blow, day after day. He did not know when the time for promotion would come. But he prepared for it actively.

One day, the opportunity came. Pharaoh sought a man capable of interpreting his dream. And not only did Joseph have the gift of interpretation, but he also had the wisdom of a man who had learned to plan. He didn’t merely reveal to Pharaoh the meaning of the dream. He gave him a strategy, a detailed plan to face the coming famine. He had understood that blessing is not the fruit of improvisation, but of preparation orchestrated under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Pharaoh recognized this wisdom and said, “Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the Spirit of God?” (Genesis 41:38). That is what a life solidly planned in Christ produces.

Many cry out to God for elevation, but do not prepare for elevation. They want to shine without structure. They dream of influence without discipline. They demand abundance but still live in approximation. Yet God does not place power in the hands of those who are not ready to carry it. He is looking for Josephs, for Daniels, for men and women who do not merely desire greatness, but who align their lives with precise actions in that direction. What you’re living today is a season of preparation. What are you doing with this season? Can you say that like Joseph, you are investing every moment, working on your character, strengthening your consecration? Or are you letting the days unfold without clear direction?

Stop hoping for transformation in 2025 if you are not setting anything in place to cause it. God has already planned your elevation, but the student who does not follow the lessons cannot be promoted. Plan your spiritual growth. Plan your integrity. Plan every step that leads you to the abundant life Christ has reserved for you. What you hope to see in December 2025, start building it now. Every decision counts. Every compromise delays your progress. Joseph did not wait for Pharaoh’s appearance to prepare himself. He had transformed long before.

Let us pray together: Lord, too often I have waited without preparing. I wanted to see Your hand, but I did not take steps to align myself with Your plan. I ask Your forgiveness for every negligence, for every opportunity wasted because of approximation. Today I choose to plan my growth, to structure my faithfulness. Help me to be a Joseph, not waiting for elevation to act like a king, but being faithful today with what You have entrusted to me. I want my testimony to show that from January 2025, I began to build with diligence. Strengthen me, teach me, lead me into this new dimension. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

At the heart of the Bible: Genesis 41:38 – “So Pharaoh asked them, ‘Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the Spirit of God?’”
