Divine Principles for Productivity that Glorifies God – Pastor Christian SABOUKOULOU

Divine principles for productivity that glorifies God

A Christian who is not productive is a useless Christian. I’d rather tell you today. Then I’ll leave. But listen carefully: reducing the Christian life to a Sunday routine, praying for a few moments, raising your hands during worship but producing nothing… is missing a fundamental principle of the Kingdom! When God created us in His image in Genesis 1:28, the very first word He spoke was: “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth.” In other words, He said: be productive! And you, in what do you plan to be fruitful? In sleep? In laziness? No! This divine mandate is non-negotiable. It is crucial! Say it with me: “It is crucial!”

Let’s pause for a moment. Ask yourself: where are your works? What will you rest from in Heaven? Revelation 14:13 doesn’t say the dead in the Lord are blessed just because they will rest… period. No! It is written that they rest from their labors because their works follow them. You’re not going to Heaven to chill, to lounge with crossed feet shouting “Glory to God!” No. You go up there to rest from what you have accomplished here below. What do you hope to rest from, if you have done nothing? Where are the fruits? Where is the yield for God? Where are the marks of your mission? There’s a list of works attached to your life. And you must check them off one by one!

Productivity is a deep spiritual calling

Many think that the goal of the Christian life is not to sin, to go to church, to fast, to pray. Yes, those are necessary things, but they are not the goal. They are the means! The goal is to complete the work God prepared in advance for you. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:10: “We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Don’t skip over that phrase. What did He prepare? Works! For whom? For you! So that you would do them!

And this is where many get it wrong. They think doing good works just means handing coins to a beggar at a red light. No! The Greek word here for “good” works is “agathos.” Agathos means: beneficial, useful, excellent, kind, honorable, radiant, distinctive. These are works that mark, that transform, that even save! There is a unique heavenly assignment upon your life. Yes! God gave you a DPA — a Divine Production Assigned. Have you lifted your head to read your spiritual list? Have you asked God what that work is that He dreams to accomplish through you?

So you cannot stay there, motionless, contemplative. You don’t have the luxury to sit on your faith thinking you’ll defend yourself in Heaven with songs or memorized verses. Heaven doesn’t check how many sermons you’ve listened to, but how much fruit you bore. John 15:5 says: “He who abides in Me bears much fruit. For without Me you can do nothing.” And the Greek word translated here as “do” is “poiéō.” Poiéō means: to create, to shape, to execute, to build. Do you understand? You were shaped to create, not just to exist.

He who abides in Me bears much fruit. For without Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

Your productivity is a living testimony for God

Jesus teaches in Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father.” This is not optional! It’s not: “Let your light shine on Sundays at church.” No! He says “before men.” Your boss must see it. Your coworkers must see it. Your neighbors must see it. There are souls that will never set foot in your church but who will be won because one day they saw your productivity, your excellence, your integrity, your results. You know why? Because authentic works command respect and even cause the most skeptical to bow the knee.

Look at what Jesus says in John 14:11: “Believe Me at least because of the works.” He speaks to unbelieving disciples. But He points to His works. He’s saying in essence: “If My words aren’t enough, then look at My results, look at My works!” You too must have something that speaks louder than your speeches. You want to win souls? Start by producing! The silent impact of your works can open more hearts than a megaphone.

Your divine list must be completed here, on earth

My brother, my sister, you have a list! A divine list. A personalized heavenly assignment. God wrote it before your birth. Don’t believe it? Read Ephesians 2:10 again. It says: “which God prepared beforehand…” That means God wrote each one of those works to be accomplished, and then He sent you to earth to manifest them. Tell me: do you want to go back to Heaven with empty hands? Do you want to arrive there with a list still full?

Your goal must be to check every box! A fulfilled list is true spiritual success. A still-full list means judgment awaits you.

When Jesus said at 33 years old: “It is finished,” it wasn’t poetry. It was the reality of a man who had completed his list. He died young, but He died empty! He gave it all, produced it all, manifested it all. And you? What are you waiting for to start checking off?

A generation called to produce supernatural works

There are songs, books, teaching manuals, poems, fundraising campaigns, economic concepts, social enterprises, apps, films, series, government policies, gourmet recipes, therapeutic centers, medications, scientific patents… yes, ALL THAT is asleep inside you. And God is telling me to tell you that this season is a season of release. It’s not just about what you create, it’s about what you change, what you solidify, what you build for His glory. You must produce.

Don’t say “I’m too young,” don’t say “I’m too old,” no! As long as you breathe, you are qualified to produce. It’s not a matter of age, it’s a matter of inner fire. What are you doing with each day God gives you? The hours He grants you — what are you producing with them? He who gives thought to the matter finds good, Proverbs 16:20. It’s time to think!

5 keys to increase your spiritual yield

  1. Be fully aware that your productivity is NOW. Not in Heaven. Not in the grave. Not out of frustration. It’s now that you must produce.
  2. Abandon useless activities. Everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial, says Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:23. Many of us squander our potential on things with no eternal value. Too much time on social media, too much sleep, too many distractions… And you want supernatural works? They don’t appear by accident!
  3. Adopt the law of parallelism. Learn to do several things at once. You can read and listen to a message. You can pray while driving. You can learn while walking. Free up your time for more productivity.
  4. Rely on your specific graces. Don’t chase someone else’s talents. What God placed in you is unique. Your list doesn’t look like anyone else’s.
  5. Apply the law of associations. Two are better than one, says the Bible. If you want to do everything alone, you’ll fail alone. Partner with those who complement your weaknesses and share your vision. Even Jesus surrounded Himself with others. And hear this: if you partner with someone just because they are Christian, without asking if they’re competent or if they share the vision, you risk ruining everything.

Let’s pray together

Father, I refuse to live a barren life. I refuse to waste my days. Today, I choose to produce, to bear fruit, to manifest the works You prepared beforehand for me. Help me redeem the time. Deliver me from all vain distractions. Align my heart with Your plan. Make me useful to Your work, and glorify Yourself through my life. My soul blesses the Lord! In the mighty name of Jesus, amen!

🙏 If you’ve never reconciled with God…

Lord Jesus, I come to You today. Forgive my sins. Wash me from all iniquity. I believe You died for me and that You rose again. From today, I accept You as my personal Lord and Savior. Take control of my life. Help me fulfill completely what I was born for. Amen.
