13486-EN- THE NECESSITY OF GROWING IN FAITH TO WALK WITH GOD | Apostle Yves CASTANOU | SUN 10/19/2025

Growing in faith to conquer with God

God does not save you to keep you at the same level. God does not call you just so you can sit in church every Sunday. God calls you so that you may grow! Grow in faith, grow in the knowledge of Christ, grow until you become a conqueror who possesses the territories God has destined for you!

This is your year of growth! Can someone say “Amen”? 2025 is my year of growth in Christ!

But then, why do so many believers stagnate? Why is it that after 5, 10, 15 years in the faith, some still haven’t grown? Why does your circle see no change, no transformation, no clear testimony in your life? Listen to me, the Christian life is not a religion. It is a walk. A walk with an invisible God. And walking with God means growing. Growing in faith! Growing in obedience! Growing in purity! You can’t still be stuck in the same sins since 1910! That’s not normal!

Faith is measurable. Faith can grow, faith must grow! As Paul said of the Thessalonians: “Your faith grows exceedingly.” You too must grow exceedingly! What you believe today, what you live today, what you are able to reach today by faith should not be the same as last year. That’s why God never begins transformation with prayer. First, He sends a word. And that word produces faith. And that faith, coupled with prayer, unleashes the supernatural! But it all starts with the Word. So today, God is coming to speak to you.

Growing through the thirst for God

No man becomes great in faith without thirst. The thirst for God. True faith does not live in a dry, religious, indifferent heart. True faith rests in a thirsty heart. A heart that cries out: “Lord, I want more of You!” Growing in faith is not primarily about accumulating knowledge. It’s about being thirsty. Thirsty for God’s presence. Thirsty for God’s will. Thirsty to be like Jesus.

Yes, He told us: “The righteous shall live by his faith.” And it begins with thirst. This is why you see people dancing in church, jumping, shouting, yet deep down, they do not know their God, they do not trust Him. Do not be an imitator following the motions without revelation. Your dance must be the fruit of your faith. Your worship must come from a heart that knows the One it worships! Otherwise, you’re dancing like pagans in their satanic temples: with an illusory trust in false gods. God does not want hollow choreography. God seeks worshipers in spirit and in truth. Are you one of them?

Faith comes from a promise

What has God said to you? What is the word, the promise, the vision that made you rise, move, leave everything behind? Abraham did not leave on a whim. He left because God spoke to him.

Get out of your country… I will make of you a great nation. (Genesis 12:1-2)

Abraham left because he had heard. And because he had heard, he believed. And believing pushed him to obey, to leave, to explore…

But beware. Many come to church Sunday after Sunday, but they have never heard God. They live without direction, without promise. Result: they get tired, pray without result, because they have no faith—or rather, because they don’t know what God has said. Because biblical faith is believing in what God has said to you! It is standing on a revealed word, a sure promise. Abraham believed in a God who speaks. And because of that promise, he left his old world for an unknown territory.

You enter faith the day you leave something to, based on a promise, chase after God. The day your walk of faith becomes concrete, measurable, visible. It’s not a philosophy, it’s a trajectory! A radical decision: “I leave my father’s house… I leave the world behind!” You have to leave something!

The goal of living faith: conquering territories

Listen to me very carefully: Abraham didn’t leave just for the sake of leaving. God promised him a territory. Abraham’s faith was not a religious faith. It was a conquering faith.

I will give you this land. (Genesis 13:14-17)

And because of that promise, Abraham traveled through the land. He explored the territory. He analyzed it. He considered, he built altars. Why? Because he knew: “The land is for me.”

And the same goes for you. You are not saved to sing pretty songs. You are saved to conquer! You are saved to possess a territory! And I’m not just talking about physical land. I’m talking about spheres of influence. The economy is a territory. The justice system, politics, education, health, media, art, sports: these are all spiritually influenced territories. And as long as the church does not penetrate these spheres, darkness will continue to reign in them! Am I talking to someone?

Congo is a territory. Your company is a territory. Your university is a territory. When you step somewhere, don’t step like everybody else. Step like an heir of the Kingdom! Your internship is a mission of exploration. Your job is an opportunity for conquest. When you step into a room, you’re not just walking. You are leaving a mark.

Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you. (Joshua 1:3)

Oh, somebody shout “Amen!”

God is waiting for you to conquer. But to conquer, you need faith. You need the faith of the violent.

For the kingdom of God suffers violence, and the violent take it by force!

You need an active faith, a faith that speaks, that dares, that commands, that prays with intensity, that fasts, that acts, that builds, that ventures, that dominates!

Concrete application: awakening of active faith

  • Stop praying without faith.
  • Stop fasting without revelation.
  • What is the promise? What is the territory?
  • Don’t live as if you have no calling!
  • Don’t live as someone forgotten.
  • Rise up! Explore! Take the territory!

Abraham wasn’t afraid of the Canaanites. He knew that even if others occupied the land, the Lord had told him: “I will give it to you.” Are you convinced of what God told you?

Be a believer, not a follower. God is looking for soldiers, not spectators.

Suffer with me as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. (2 Timothy 2:3)

A faith that conquers, a faith that displaces false systems, that tears down mental strongholds, that establishes the glory of God in the high spheres of society!

This is what God is calling you to: to impact your territory and make Christ known wherever you are!

Let us pray together

Father, I refuse dead faith. Today I choose to walk like Abraham: by faith! I want to conquer the territories You have given me. I want to explore, build, advance. Ignite in me the thirst for greatness according to You. Give me Your mindset. I rise up to seek You, to pursue You, to believe You, and to take possession of all You have promised me. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen!

🙏 If you have never received the life of Jesus, pray with faith:

Lord Jesus, come into my life. I believe that You died for me and that You rose again. I trust You, I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Lead me, transform me, and make me walk in Your eternal plan. Amen!

At the heart of the Bible

  • Romans 10:17 – Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
  • Hebrews 11:8 – By faith, Abraham obeyed.
  • Joshua 1:3 – Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you.
  • 2 Timothy 2:3 – Suffer with me as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
  • Romans 12:1 – Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.
  • Luke 9:23 – If anyone wants to come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
