J3 – God wants to be loved – IC2025 – Pastor Samuel KAMUANGA

God wants to be loved

God wants to be loved. Not admired, not simply feared. Loved.

He’s looking for a bride, not a worker. A heart, not a performance. He demonstrated His love by being wounded, crushed, rejected, nailed. Today, He comes back to you, and asks you this question that echoes like a cry in the silence of your life: “Do you love Me?” (John 21). Peter, do you love Me? It’s not just about doctrine, or activities. It’s about love. It’s not the exercise of gifts that God is after, but hearts fully His. 1 Corinthians 16:22 shakes you: “If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed.”

1 Corinthians 16:22 – If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed.

Yes, you can preach without loving God. You can sing, prophesy, heal the sick, and still be rejected on the last day. Why? Because love wasn’t there. Because you did everything—except give Him your heart.

A bride sought, not a servant

Christ’s goal was never to build a body of affectionless servants. He gave Himself not for a competent Church, but for a glorious bride (Ephesians 5:25-27). He is waiting for a bride so beautiful, so saturated with Him, that He’ll say:

Genesis 2:23 – This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.

He doesn’t want efficient workers without depth. He is waiting for a Church that can stand before Him, that draws His admiration. You must appear – this Greek word “paristano” means to present oneself with something pleasing, admirable. It’s no longer enough to merely exist. You must appear! Present before God something that satisfies Him. When Eve appeared before Adam, he turned into a poet. He knew she was the one. This is the heart of God: He is looking for that bride, that Church that makes His heart beat.

The women came one by one before Ahasuerus. There were many of them, well prepared. But only those who had captured the king’s heart could stay. Esther! Esther understood it wasn’t her beauty that would keep access to the king’s throne. Not the pageantry. It was her posture. What did she take to present herself? Only what Hegai advised – the one who knew what pleased the king. She sacrificed her own preferences. She denied herself.

Do you renounce your taste? Are you willing to let the Spirit teach you what God loves, to deny yourself in order to please Him? Because that’s what the bride does. She doesn’t come to demand—she comes to please!

A mature Church, able to carry the glory

Christ is building His Church (Matthew 16:18). He’s building pillars, not spectators. He’s building a glorious Church, not a superficial one. Those who want this glory must grow up. Maturity is a must. Maturity is not so much about mastering gifts as it is about the ability to love—and to carry a glory that doesn’t destroy you.

God gives according to the capacity of the heart. He gave David an eternal throne because he had a heart after God. Not a request. Not a nicely worded prayer. But a heart!

God never forgot David.

Jeremiah 30:9 – David My servant will lead you.

He’s not a forgotten one – he’s dead, but God still talks about him! Why? Because David made God nostalgic. David loved God more than a throne, more than royalty, more than the praises of men.

Do you want to carry an eternal throne? First carry an eternal heart. Otherwise, the weight of glory will crush you.

We’ve taught too much on how to walk in the anointing, but not enough on how to walk in love. We’ve learned to manifest God without loving Him. We’ve built platforms for personal glory. We’ve bombarded heaven to impress man. But Jesus asks:

“Do you love Me?” This is the season of the heart. The hour when the true bride rises.

Drink until you’re intoxicated with God

When love is missing, the anointing becomes poison. It swells the ego, pushes you to want flyers, views, and applause. But when love is present, you want to give yourself. You want to surrender. You say: Lord, flood my heart. More thirst, unquenchable thirst.

A Church must enter into a thirst that only God Himself can satisfy. Jesus is that stream that never runs dry. He is that source that you cannot empty!

Hebrews 11:10 – Abraham was looking for the city whose architect is God.

Not the Promised Land, but a heavenly city. Yes, the land was there. The promise fulfilled. But Abraham remained in tents. Why? Because his heart was searching for God. We are unsatisfied. As long as we don’t have Him fully, we want nothing else.

Are you ready to tell God, “Thank You for the house, the car, but they didn’t stop me”?

An insatiable Church, shaking the earth

This revival won’t come with those who demand power without the heart. It will come with lovers. With the thirsty. With the unsatisfied. That’s why God is forming a bride. A Church that will trigger an earthquake. Before the rapture takes place, the world will know there was a Church passionate for her God – the one born again through this preaching.

Yes, God overflows. His Spirit overflows onto those who want to plant an offering at Jesus’ feet, with their tears and their passion. Those who, like the woman with the alabaster jar, live to please Him, not to be seen.

So it’s not just about giving things up. It’s about understanding that God wants to be loved. It is His first commandment, His first desire. That you would love Him with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind. Not a partial love, not a double-speed pursuit. You can’t love God and Facebook at the same time. You can’t juggle two loves.

What God expects is your totality. No more distractions. No more divided hearts. Your bed doesn’t become your throne. God is your only rest. He wants you to cherish Him, pursue Him, long for Him.

Let’s pray together

Lord, I refuse indifference. I refuse to live a faith without love. I want to be that bride You dream of. Set within me the flame that consumes all. Let my heart be entirely Yours. I repent of superficiality, distraction, and the pursuit of performance. I return to You. Today, I offer myself again. I want to please You, not impress men. Lord Jesus, I am Yours, wholly Yours. I want to love You, worship You, pursue You, please You. That is my supreme desire. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

🙏 If you’ve never given your life to Jesus, pray this sincerely with faith:

Lord Jesus, I acknowledge You as my Lord and Savior. Forgive my sins. Enter my life. Change my heart. I choose to love You and to walk with You. Amen.
