Holy Spirit, I need You! Oh, I need You! This is not an option or a mere desire; it is an absolute necessity. Without You, I can do nothing. I refuse to live an empty Christianity, a Christianity without power, without fire, without transformation. I refuse! Jesus must be fully visible in me. The world must see Him through me.
“Abide in me, and I will abide in you. For without me, you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)
If Christ is not formed in me, I am an empty man, incapable of fulfilling God’s will.
But then, what is the greatest good that God can do for me? Elevate me? Bless me financially? Give me a family, a job, a breakthrough? No! The greatest good that God can do for me is Christ in me!
The problem many Christians face today is their unbalanced priorities. They desire elevation, wealth, breakthrough, but they neglect the most crucial foundation: Christ in them. They want the blessing without desiring the One who blesses. They want power without desiring the One who is the source of all power. They want marriage, work, human recognition, but they do not want the very person of Christ!
But listen to me carefully: God will not bless you at the expense of your growth in Him! God will never elevate you beyond the level of Christ formed in you. Because anything you desire apart from the person of Christ is temporary, vulnerable, and subject to collapse.
“Until we all reach the fullness of the stature of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11-14)
This is God’s goal! His plan is clear: to make you a man or woman in the perfect likeness of Jesus. A Christian whose life reflects not only God’s presence but God’s very character.
God is a jealous God, and if you want to see Him move powerfully in your life, then decide to be His exclusive possession. He does not share His temple with anyone! He does not want to cohabit with bitterness, compromises, sin, pride. He wants to reign alone!
“For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God.” (Exodus 20:5)
There are people whom God defends personally! There are men and women whom God protects fiercely! Why? Because they belong entirely to Him. They cohabit with nothing and no one else. They have renounced keeping any part of their lives under their own control. They have surrendered every corner of their being to God.
The problem is that we pray to see God act, but we do not make the radical decision to belong entirely to Him. Do you want God to rise like a warrior in your battles? Then step aside and let Him reign fully in you.
Some of us are still waiting for God to do something that He is actually waiting for us to do! We ask, “Lord, bless me, elevate me, open the doors!” But God replies: “Let me first be fully formed in you!”
You ask for provision, but what about your integrity? You ask for favor, but what about your faithfulness? You want breakthrough in your business, but how would you manage abundance if Christ has not yet shaped humility, maturity, and obedience in you?
There are rivers of blessings that God wants to release into your life, but the key is the formation of Christ in you. Wealth is not a problem for God! Favor is not a problem! What is problematic is a person without a solid foundation upon whom these blessings descend.
Christ fully formed in you is the key that changes everything!
Too many of us tolerate things that have no place in us! Sadness, spiritual heaviness, negligence, distraction, lusts… We live with cracks, and we are surprised when nothing changes in our lives.
But today, decide to put an end to this cohabitation. Say: “Lord, I no longer want to remain as I am! I must resemble You! The world must see You in me!”
“Christ is all and in all.” (Colossians 3:11)
That is why today we must cry out before the throne of God and say:
Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I need You. I believe that You died for my sins and that You rose again. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Transform my life and lead me on Your path. Amen.
