SPECIAL NIGHT – THE LOYALTY THAT BUILDS THE MEGA CHURCH – Rev. Benny DAG-ANNAN

Special Vigil – The Loyalty That Builds the Mega Church

You can look like a sheep, but have the heart of a wolf. And if Jesus Himself warned His disciples that wolves would come, why would you be naive enough to believe that the enemy has no plans against you? Why think that he is not trying to infiltrate you to stop the expansion of the Kingdom, to contaminate what God is building through you?

Jesus was clear: He is sending us as sheep among wolves. This is not an easy mission, but it is our calling. And one of the most powerful weapons to counter the enemy’s invisible attacks is faithfulness—loyalty.

When we talk about building a mega church, we are not primarily talking about size. We are talking about a solid structure, unshakable stones on which God can build without fear of collapse.

Are you a stone or sinking sand? Are you faithful to the call, unshakable in the face of storms, or are you easily influenced, unstable, ready to give up over nothing?

And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church. (Matthew 16:18)

God is looking for stones—solid, sharp, loyal disciples who will not be swayed by the winds of doubt and criticism. Because the expansion of the Kingdom does not happen without a fight.

Are you ready to stand, no matter the pressure?

Loyalty: An Irreducible Necessity

Loyalty is not an option in the Kingdom. It is an irreducible necessity. A faithful Christian is one who does not change his mind at the first storm, who does not abandon his post because of offenses, who is not seduced by subtle arguments of disobedience.

It is the one who understands that this is the whole issue of spiritual warfare: to pull you away from your place, to tear you from your calling, disrupting the very structure that God has built.

Disloyalty does not manifest suddenly—it infiltrates slowly, it changes your perception, it gives you the impression that your elders are limited, that you can do better without them.

But before the fall, there is always this spirit of independence, this disdain for the voice of spiritual fathers.

This was Judas’s mistake. He walked with Jesus, heard the same words, participated in the same miracles, but he ended up betraying because his heart was no longer washed by the Word.

At the last supper, Jesus washed the feet of His disciples. Why? Because our feet symbolize our direction, our decisions. If the Word no longer instructs you on where to go, if you are no longer corrected by teaching, then you are already in danger.

He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet. (John 13:10)

In other words, just because you are a Christian, born again, does not mean you are immune to bad influences. You must continually be exposed to the Word so that your walk remains pure.

Judas, despite all the preaching he heard, was never transformed. And that is why Satan was able to enter him.

It was not a sudden possession—it was a process. A slow descent where his heart hardened, where he became insensitive to the truth.

Guard Your Heart

If the Word of God no longer touches your heart, if preaching no longer moves you, beware! Satan is preparing to take hold of your life.

Because loyalty is not just about a pastor or a church. It is a matter of nature, of character.

  • Are you someone who can be counted on?
  • Someone who does not disappear at crucial moments?
  • Who does not flee when the battle gets intense?

For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. (Acts 20:29)

He was already warning that the enemy would seek to infiltrate, to sow division, to break unity. How? Through unstable hearts, through people who refuse correction, who refuse to be trained, who despise authority.

But in reality, all these people end up being used as instruments of sabotage. You cannot build with people who admire today and criticize tomorrow. You cannot build with double-minded, divided hearts—those who proclaim love today and are ready to stab you tomorrow.

God is looking for the loyal—sons and daughters He can trust. Because whenever a great work begins, the enemy always seeks to stop it from the inside.

Loyalty Preserves Your Destiny

Paul tells us to take heed of ourselves and the whole flock. It is not just about watching others—it begins with watching your own heart.

Aren’t you slowly drifting, gradually tolerating thoughts of doubt and pride? Take heed.

Every time you feel a spirit of independence rising in you, when you start questioning your commitments, when you begin to find it reasonable to listen to criticisms about your leader, know that this is a subtle infiltration of the enemy. Do not ignore it!

It is no coincidence that in the Old Testament, an unstable stone was always rejected in construction. God does not build with changing hearts! You need a revelation of this to transform how you function.

Loyalty is not about pleasing a leader; it is about preserving your own destiny. A loyal, solid, rooted heart is a channel of blessings.

The opposite is being a Judas in the making. Judas-types always end up consumed by their own betrayal.

At the Heart of the Bible

  • Matthew 16:18 – The Church Built on the Rock
  • John 13:10 – Washing Feet for a Pure Walk
  • Acts 20:29 – Wolves Among the Flock

Let’s Pray Together

Lord, keep me faithful. Where the enemy wants to seduce me, where he wants to corrupt my thoughts to make me believe I can do better by leaving my place—expose him!

May my heart be aligned with You, may my decisions be influenced by Your Word and not by my emotions or the whispers of the world.

I do not want to be like Judas—I want to be like Peter, unshakable.

I declare that I am a stone on which You can build. Make me a faithful disciple, an instrument of expansion for Your Kingdom.

In the mighty name of Jesus.
