Don’t leave me in this condition, Father. Don’t leave me where I am. I refuse to end this year the way I started it. Rejection, impurity, anger, dryness, lukewarmness, indifference will not remain. Lord, all I want today is You. Not just what You can do. No! What I desire is You.
But why do so many Christians chase after everything except the person of God? Why, in our prayers, our fasts, our praise, do we desire everything but God Himself? Yet Jesus said:
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
The goal of all prayer is God. The greatest answer to prayer is not marriage, nor work, nor healing, nor deliverance… The most glorious answer is God giving Himself to you through His Spirit.
You prayed for God to reveal your husband. Very well. He showed you. But the relationship fell apart. Why? Because you hadn’t received God Himself. You can receive the right person and still fail, because you haven’t activated the protocols of God’s heart: patience, communication, forgiveness, humility, service. You want a glorious marriage? Start by desiring God intensely. You want to raise true children of God? Desire God. You want to succeed in your business? Desire God! Not to use Him as a means to success, no! Desire God in His essence, for who He is.
It is in His person that all the things you are searching for are hidden! His intelligence, His love, His creativity, His wisdom, His economy, His justice, His holiness—everything is in Him. If you receive God, you receive everything.
But you see, when we say this, some think it’s just a beautiful spiritual phrase. No, it’s a law of the kingdom! You want power? Receive God. At Pentecost, what Jesus offered was the Spirit. Not gifts. Not positions. Not success. Not internships. He gave the Spirit. And He left, because in giving the Spirit, He had given everything.
Those who receive God receive the whole universe. Those who pray to have God, not to have what He gives—those become the revealers of God on earth. Do you desire God?
Stop believing you’ll be delivered from impurity just because you shout “I bind you!” Stop trying to break pornography just with beautiful songs. It’s not a matter of emotion. It’s not a matter of biblical knowledge. It’s not a matter of training.
It’s a matter of desire. As long as your soul does not sincerely long for God, there will always be room for other lusts. Witchcraft isn’t the main issue. It’s the inner void. It’s because you are not filled with the desire for God.
When you are possessed by the love of God, there is no more room for another master. When the Spirit of Holiness begins to fill your soul, unclean spirits, familiar spirits, spirits of impurity, spirits of timidity, fear, rejection — they have nowhere to latch on. Their grip vanishes. They thirst for an empty heart, a dry heart, but when the heart is burning with love for God, they no longer belong.
You want to be free? Don’t cast out the spirit of impurity until you have cried out to receive and keep God within you. That is where your true deliverance lies.
When a man earnestly desires God, then God comes… and with Him comes His light, His clarity, His peace, His holiness, His strength. He never comes alone. Not as a mere breeze, not as a light fragrance. He comes as consuming fire. And that fire cleanses, purifies, uproots, frees, transforms. If you’re battling a persistent sin, start by changing your prayer. Stop asking for deliverance.
Pray: “Lord, fill me. I no longer want to endure this situation. I want to know You. I want to live You. I want to experience You. I desire You!”
Look at the church in Thessalonica. Paul says: “I sent Timothy to find out about your faith, fearing that the tempter had tempted you.” But when Timothy returned, Paul heard one thing: “They’re still standing! They still believe! They are still on fire!”
How? They didn’t have internet. They no longer had apostles. They were persecuted, threatened with death, yet they stood. Why? Because they had found the Spirit. They were not living by tradition, but by the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
When you find God, there is an inner coherence, a stability, a strength, a joy that no longer depends on circumstances. Nothing shakes you anymore, because your inner man is stronger than your outer world.
This is why your real problem isn’t people. It’s not the demons. It’s not blockages. Your true tragedy is being empty. And as long as you are empty, you will always be dry. As long as you are empty, you will always be fragile. As long as you are empty, you’ll be at the mercy of everything.
But as soon as God fully dwells in your inner man—and He said it in John:
We will make our home with him
As soon as God inhabits you, everything changes. Despair of living without His tangible presence. Enter the fire. Let Him sanctify you, visit you, saturate you.
The reason you’re not saturated is not that God isn’t with you. You have received Him, yes. But have you sought Him? Have you desired Him? Luke 11 says that if we, being evil, know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more will our Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!
So the essential request of your life must not be “Lord, give me marriage,” but “Give me You!”
When you no longer desire to pray, when reading the Word brings you no joy, when songs leave you cold, indifferent, dry… Your soul is sick. Your inner man is suffering. Your spirit is under siege.
And in the natural, when you lose your appetite, you go to the doctor. So why, when you no longer feel like praying, do you carry on as if nothing is wrong? You tell yourself “it will come back” but do nothing. You passively wait for appetite to return?
No! Go before God and cry: “Do not leave me in this state! Rekindle my fire! Make my heart burn again! Deliver me from spiritual coldness!”
He told me: “When someone desires Me, even if he is foolish, wisdom will catch up with him.” You may not have been first in school, but if you desire God, you will become wiser than your teachers. You may never have grasped the Bible correctly, but by desiring God sincerely, you will find yourself saturated with spiritual understanding—unlearned from books but deposited by the Spirit of Revelation. Desire God and watch what He does with you.
When love for God becomes your burning desire, your heart becomes an altar. And on that altar, fire falls. Fire never falls on a dry place. It falls where the sacrifice has been laid. When you say: “Lord, here is my life, here are my thoughts, my emotions, my priorities, here is my agenda. Take everything. What I seek is You before anything else”, then heaven opens. The Spirit of God descends. And it’s over. Your life is never the same again.
Father, I pray to You. Awaken in me a burning desire to seek You. What I want is not just a visitation, but a habitation. Come dwell in me. I no longer want crumbs. I no longer want to practice religion. I want to be consumed by the love of God. Holy Spirit, fill me. Saturate me. Overflow in me. Make me an unshakable man, an unshakable woman. Change my inner life above all. I desire heaven, here and now, in me! In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
🙏 If you’ve never received the life of Jesus, say this prayer in faith:
Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I need You. I believe You died for my sins and that You rose again. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Transform my life and lead me on Your path. Amen.
