Alliance or isolation: choose wisely, because your spiritual survival depends on it. You’re not invincible on your own, my sister. Shocking? Yet it’s a biblical truth. We think of “invincibility” and we imagine a heroine of faith: powerful, conquering. But true invincibility? It’s the kind that’s built together — through solidarity, through mutual intercession, through authentic love.
Joab said to his brother Abishai: If the Arameans are too strong for me, come and help me. But if the Ammonites are too strong for you, I will come to help you (2 Samuel 10:11).
This is the heart of God! This is the image of an invincible army: a sister who covers you when you’re weak, a brother who stands in the gap when you have no strength left. And the question this morning is: are you that person? Are you ready to walk in unity? Or do you cling to the independence that isolates and divides?
When we think of the word “invincible,” the image that often comes to mind is that of a strong woman, standing alone, courageous, bold — perhaps a bit solitary, but solid. But that image is an illusion. Because no matter how powerful you are, you won’t withstand the assaults of spiritual warfare alone. The devil loves loners. He isolates them to strike more effectively.
Remember, Jesus never sent His disciples alone. Always two by two! Why? Because He understood the dynamics of spiritual warfare. Joab didn’t fight alone. He said to his brother: “If it gets too intense for me, be ready. And if the enemy presses you, I’ll come running.” We need each other. Our victories will be collective or they won’t happen at all.
This truth shakes me to my core. Because after 25 years of ministry, I can tell you that the greatest victories don’t come from those who dominate alone, but from those who know how to walk as an army. A real army. A spiritual sisterhood. And you know what? This morning, I prophesy: an army of women is rising! An army that refuses to let one of us fall into silence. An army where one sister’s failure becomes another’s battleground for intervention. An army where when one falters, the others work toward her restoration. That’s true invincibility!
But for us to be invincible together, we must uproot the silent poison of our generation: spiritual jealousy. Yes, I’m talking about it. It’s not talked about enough. Jealousy. Sneaky, secret, spiritually toxic. It’s what makes you look away when she succeeds where you failed. It makes you compare your calling to someone else’s. It whispers softly: “Why her and not me?”
But let me tell you a powerful truth: you are never diminished by another woman’s elevation! A sister who shines is a victory for all of us. Her launching is not your failure. The Kingdom of God is not a competitive arena — it’s a bountiful harvest where every worker matters.
Look at Leah and Rachel. Two sisters, two women of destiny. One fertile but rejected; the other loved but barren. They envied each other, compared themselves, fought over what they thought they lacked. “Give me your mandrakes!”, said Rachel. “I won’t give them to you!”, replied Leah. Why? Because when you’re jealous, you hoard instead of sharing generously. And what was passed on afterward? Bitterness. Leah’s sons envied Joseph, the son of Rachel, and sold him. Unchecked jealousy becomes spiritual genetics. It devours everything in its path. So we break that cycle now! Not tomorrow. Now!
You want another prophecy? Take note: a Christian woman should be… kind! It hits, doesn’t it? But really. It may sound simple, but it changes everything. Loving one another isn’t optional — it’s the very marker by which Jesus’ disciples are recognized.
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another (John 13:35).
Not titles. Not Instagram followers. Just love. Radical. Authentic. Practical.
And let me tell you what that means: it means praying for one another, covering a sister instead of criticizing her, sowing when another is in need. When I left my well-paid job to enter ministry, a friend lent me her clothes so I could honor my final appointment. From head to toe — heels included! When I gave up everything to step into itinerant ministry, and COVID hit… two couples of friends funded my ministry for nearly two years! That’s love. That’s solidarity. Not just words — actions.
And I pray — I pray for a generation of women capable of saying: “You won’t fall alone; I’ll walk with you.” Able to place their mandrakes in their sister’s hands. A generation that rejoices when another receives. A generation of Jaels and Deborahs. Jael, the goat, kills the enemy with a tent peg. Deborah, the bee, prophesies victory without seeking the glory. Can we walk together? Will the Deborahs honor the Jaels? And will the Jaels lift up the Deborahs? There’s no more big or small when we carry the Kingdom together.
Let’s recap:
Your battle is not against your sister, nor against her success. It’s not Leah versus Rachel. It’s not her or you. It’s us against the powers of darkness. Us against hate, division, sterile competition. And if we are together, my sisters… if we are united, we are invincible! A sisterhood of intercession, of compassion, of power. Hallelujah!
Father, I want to be that faithful sister. I don’t want to be a source of division but a living part of spiritual unity. I refuse jealousy, I reject individualism. Lord, make me solid, integral, loyal, and available. Teach me to rejoice in another’s success as if it were my own. Teach me to pray for her, to sow for her, to care and to celebrate… for her! Come break the chains of comparison in me, God. Transform my heart. Let jealousy be uprooted, let solidarity take its place, let love be my fragrance. I declare: I stand in the gap! I am an invincible woman — but only because I walk with my sisters, together! In the name of Jesus, amen.
🙏 If you haven’t yet given your life to Jesus:
Lord Jesus, I recognize that I need You. Forgive my sins, come live in me. Change my heart. Free me from everything that draws me away from You. I receive You as my Savior and my Lord. From this day on, I walk with You. Amen.
