Young person, rise up! There is a difference between those who serve God and those who don’t.

But who am I talking to? Who am I talking to today? There is a generation that’s asleep, a generation that’s waiting, a generation bound by darkness, wrapped in obscurity, paralyzed under a bushel… And God says: It’s over! Young person, you must rise! You can no longer remain seated. Your light has come! The glory of the Lord has risen upon you! It is waiting for you. It’s waiting for you to take one step. God wants to use you, but He will never force a vessel that refuses to stand on its feet.

Look with me at Isaiah 60:1: Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.

Look closely at what the Lord is saying here. This is not a suggestion; it’s a command. It’s a generational summons. When God says “Arise,” it’s because He knows you can rise! If the command is given, the provision to rise has already been released! Arise, even if your family says no one will ever break through. Arise, even if your environment says nobody’s ever made it. You’re not just anybody. You are made in the image of God. You are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places (Ephesians 1:3). You have received Heaven’s mandate: to impact, to influence, to illuminate!

Do you want to leave your mark on your generation?

You want to leave an imprint? You want to impact your generation? Then listen closely: there is a model! In Hebrew thinking, God does nothing without a model. And that model was given from the very beginning in Genesis 1:26-28: “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and let them have dominion…” To have dominion means to impact, to leave a mark, to exercise divine influence. You were shaped according to Heaven’s genetic blueprint, programmed to reverse cycles of darkness, to establish light where the night reigned. You were not made to follow, you were made to lead. You’re not a spectator, you are the hero Heaven is waiting for.

But to impact like God, you must follow the divine model:

• be fruitful – Bear fruit. A life that is visible and undeniable.

Does your life bear fruit? Can people feel God when you enter the room? Then He says: multiply, fill, subdue, have dominion! These are the steps to a life of impact. Christ fulfilled every one. He came in the image of the Father, bore fruit—healings, miracles, salvation—He multiplied, filled hearts with His Spirit, and subdued systems: political, religious, economic. To this day, people are still talking about Him. The world’s calendar is aligned to His coming. It’s 2025 because a man named Jesus was born! That’s what a life that marks humanity looks like!

But let me ask you this:

Does your life leave a mark? Is your presence felt? Or, as Apostle Ivan once said, is your presence equal to your absence? Some people God brushes against, and others He inhabits. You must be one of those who make darkness tremble the moment they open their mouths. You must be one of those young people who enter a room and the atmosphere changes. Some young people are sought out because their presence is light, their voice is solution, their walk is a message!

But beloved, for that— you must rise.

You must come out from under the bushel. You must reject the garment of darkness. You must tear the jersey of conformity. The world says: “look like this,” “adopt that,” “compromise here,” but God says: “Arise! Shine!” It is not normal for you to be light and yet remain unseen. It is not normal for you to be a blessing, but your surroundings are dying in drought. Where is your light? You are light, but you want to impress the world? You want to stay under the bushel to please people? In whose name?

To rise is to accept being different. To rise is to carry the cross of rejection. It’s saying: even if no one applauds me, let Heaven applaud me! To rise is to align your life with God’s agenda, to change the laws of your lineage, and to declare: with me, this ends, and it starts anew! Entire nations are in your belly. Global solutions are in your mouth. Entrepreneurs, ministers, men and women of impact are encoded in your DNA. Heaven is waiting for your signal. As soon as you rise, Isaiah says the wealth of nations will come to you. You won’t chase after gold—gold will chase after you. This isn’t “prosperity gospel,” this is Isaiah 60.

I lived it! When my wife and I went to Martinique, we went with almost nothing. A room with ten borrowed chairs in homes. But today, by grace, we have the most well-equipped church in the French Antilles-Guyana! Why? Because we stood up. It wasn’t Qataris or Americans. It was Heaven’s resources that were released the moment we said “Yes.” Your project is already funded. I declare that all your dreams are waiting for you to rise!

But be careful: you don’t rise for yourself.

You rise to shine, to save, to strengthen. There is no real impact without an offering of sacrifice. To be a light is not to be seen, it is to be useful! (Luke 22:32 — Jesus says to Peter: “When you have been converted, strengthen your brothers.”) This means your conversion is measured by your ability to strengthen others! It’s not how many years you’ve been in church that makes you a disciple, but rather:

• how many people you influence
• how many you train
• how many you carry on your knees
• how many you lift up in prayer

Do you want to impact your generation?

Then learn to make disciples. It’s not optional. (Matthew 28:19 says: “Go and make disciples of all nations.”) It doesn’t say: “Go make them pray,” or “Go make them raise their hands.” It says: train them until they become pillars. You want the fire? Then start building. You want God to be talked about in your family?

• Pray for your brother, your neighbor
• Teach
• Share

This is what it means to strengthen. Carry the burden for souls. Your light is only real when it lights up another.

The world is ready to listen.

It sits in darkness, given over to immorality, occultism, confusion. But who will show the way? You must rise. Wake up, young person! You carry a specific grace. There is a consecration in you that is directly tied to God’s plan for your life.

• Common consecration — prayer, sanctification, fasting
• Consecration specific to your calling

Some will pay a price because a million people depend on them. Some won’t be seen often because the calling on their life is too intense. But the glory on their life will cause kings to rise.

You will see what God will do with you if you accept to rise now. You are the one your school is waiting for. You are the one your neighborhood is waiting for. You will see crowds following you, and even the one who starts small will become a mighty army — Isaiah 60:22. When God sustains you, you never close shop. Even your failures will become launchpads. Even your tears will produce harvests.

So rise. Decide. Choose. Live no longer for yourself. Live for the King. You are a satellite reflecting the Sun. The only center of creation is Jesus Christ. You are here so that He can be seen more clearly through you.

Let’s pray together

Father, I stand before You. Today, I choose to come out of my slumber. I refuse to remain seated in darkness. I choose to rise, not to glorify myself, but to glorify Your Name in my generation. Use me, Lord. Let my life be used to shine, to heal, to awaken, to strengthen, to build. I want to be an answer for this world. Remove from me every garment of darkness. And let Your glory rise upon me now. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
