The Price to Pay to Birth Disciples – Apostle Yves CASTANOU

The price to pay to birth disciples

Brother, sister, you were not born to be a victim! You were not born to warm a church pew! You were not born to accumulate Bible verses and continue living like a Sunday believer! You were born to make darkness tremble! You were born to birth disciples! You were born to shake this world with your consecration and to reproduce Christ everywhere you go!

But do you really know that? Do you know why God saved you? Do you understand why Jesus suffered so much? Why the Father gave up His only Son, His Treasure, His eternal Love, into atrocious suffering, bloody agony, an unjust crucifixion? Simply so you would sit in church and leave? No! No, a thousand times no! Jesus paid a very high price so that your life would produce a seed of fire. He paid the price so you could birth disciples!

The prophets searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. (1 Peter 1:10-11)

The sufferings of Christ are no small detail! They are the foundation of every authentic Christian life. And this glory, that very glory that follows the cross — let’s talk about it today: it is the multiplication of souls! It is the conquest of the world for Jesus Christ! It is radical, bold, and costly discipleship that transforms believers into burning witnesses!

Are you ready? Let’s go deeper!

The glory of a king is in the multitude of his people

A large population is a king’s glory. (Proverbs 14:28)

If Jesus is King, then He deserves an innumerable people, an army of disciples who glorify Him! It’s not money, it’s not buildings that prove the greatness of a king. It’s not Sunday activity that justifies a Christian life. The true glory of Christ is a multitude of men and women who look like Him, who rise up, who pray, who walk in holiness, in truth, and who transmit this divine DNA to others. That’s what God expects from us, that’s what He calls glory!

And the saddest thing is that today the church is full of believers, but not of disciples. Formal believers, lukewarm believers, religious believers, habitual believers. We call ourselves Christians because we go to church on Sundays or because we sing praises aloud. But Jesus did not die to stabilize religious attendance. He died so that you would become a living copy of Himself! “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19) is the ultimate command, the Great Commission, the heart-cry of the crucified, risen, and glorious Master!

But where are the disciples? Where are the disciple-makers? Where are those who will pay the price to labor in pain for transformed men and women? There is a price to pay — Oh yes, a real price, a pain, a loss, a death to self — but what a reward after! When God finds a person crazy enough to sacrifice themselves for their generation, He releases an unstoppable power.

Christ formed in you — God’s true project

My brother, my sister, you were not predestined for a small life. Romans 8:29 declares: “He predestined us to be conformed to the image of His Son.” God didn’t just save you — He wants you to look like Jesus. Every minute you live without growing into His likeness is a minute stolen from your calling. You live, but you don’t live for the right goal. You exist, but haven’t yet entered the fulfillment of your identity.

God’s heart bleeds seeing believers who don’t want to grow, who don’t want to give, who don’t want to carry the cross. Brother, you are not a disciple of Jesus if you don’t walk in His suffering, His obedience, His fire, His sacrifice. Take up your cross! Reject lukewarmness! Reject passivity! Reject this anesthetized religion that speaks of blessings but flees spiritual warfare. You need to be transformed from glory to glory!

You want to impact your generation? You want to birth disciples? Then start with yourself! Jesus prayed until His sweat became like drops of blood in Luke 22. He didn’t just say “Let Your will be done” — He cried it out, He groaned it, He pleaded it, He fought for it! And you think you’ll do God’s will without paying the price? Impossible.

Prayer: the ultimate weapon of a disciple-maker

Remember this: without a life of prayer, there is no fire. And without fire, you’re just a decorative Christian. Want God to use you? Light your altar! Burn on the altar of prayer until you become a living torch! It is in prayer that chains fall, demons flee, power arises, and disciples are born!

There will never be multiplication without supplication. Never true growth without intense communion. The book of Acts understood this: every expansion was preceded by prayer.

They spoke the word of God boldly, and a multitude of men and women turned to the Lord. (Acts 4:29-31)

Here is an eternal secret: The more the Church prays, the more the Church multiplies.

All soul-winners are secret intercessors. All disciple-makers are prayer warriors. Revival doesn’t come without this fire. Peter healed with his shadow. Paul evangelized entire provinces. Why? Because they were formed in the upper room, in trembling prayer, in the agony of the inner struggle.

Are you ready to fight? Are you ready to suffer as Christ suffered, to see multitudes in France, in Europe, and across the world brought back to God? Don’t say “yes” with your lips. Prove it with your flame. Prove it with your knees. Prove it with your perseverance.

Practical application

  • You are no longer permitted to live as a spectator. The hour is grave. The hour is war. The kingdom of darkness multiplies its children of wrath while the Church gets lazy.
  • Wake up! Rise up! Become a soldier of fire! A spiritual midwife who suffers in prayer until a newborn is formed!
  • Choose to pray an extra hour.
  • Choose to turn off Netflix and open your Bible.
  • Choose to fast instead of indulging.
  • Choose to talk about Jesus to your coworker. Don’t live for yourself. Live for the One who died in your place!
  • You want to do God’s perfect will? Then pray until you sweat. Pour out your soul, cry for souls. And let God use you as an instrument of revival in your generation.

Let’s pray together

1. Father, I reject lukewarm, impactless Christianity. I reject religious stagnation. Set my heart ablaze! Awaken my knees. Give me the grace to birth disciples for your glory!

2. Lord, consume in me all that is not from You. Burn pride, selfishness, comfort. Form the character of Christ in me. Make me a living torch!

3. Father, everything I have neglected until today — I now take it seriously. I decide to become an instrument of revival in my family, my neighborhood, my generation!

🙏 If you have never given your life to Jesus, say this prayer now:

Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I need You. I believe that You died for my sins and that You rose again. Today, I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Come transform my life and make me a disciple! Amen.
