Can you give the Lord a shout of praise? Praise Him like never before if you want to live in abundance to share it! We’re not here to look pretty or be religiously correct. We’re here for transformed lives, for visible, tangible breakthroughs that speak for themselves and glorify our Father in heaven!
But why do so many Christians still stagnate financially? Why do those who pray, fast, attend church services still struggle to reach certain professional or entrepreneurial levels? The answer is simple: many ignore the biblical, strategic, and practical keys God gave us to LIVE in abundance, and not just desire it anymore.
“Let your light shine before men, that they may SEE your good deeds” (Matthew 5:16)
Yes, people must SEE. God is glorified when people see the result! Not when you explain your intentions. When they SEE. And for them to see, you must manifest. You must excel. You must shine! And for that, there are skills to develop. Exactly seven skills, revealed through the testimony of David in 1 Samuel 16:18.
Seven skills. Seven dimensions to access lasting and impactful divine favor. Take notes, because God is going to do something new in your life!
“I have seen a son of Jesse who knows how to play…” That’s where it all begins. Knowing how to play. Having a skill. Being technically excellent. Today, everyone wants to break through, everyone wants to display supernatural greatness, but let me ask you a question: what do you know how to do? What’s your expertise? What’s your specialty? What problems can you solve?
David didn’t enter the palace because he sang in church. He got in because someone noticed his skill in playing the harp. He was excellent. Not average. Not “good enough.” Excellent. I often say: clients or employers are not looking for Christians, they are looking for experts. If you need surgery tomorrow, you don’t care if the surgeon is Muslim, Buddhist, or atheist. You want a good surgeon, period. It’s the same in the spiritual and professional world: be excellent or remain invisible.
Stop serving rags. Your God is a God of excellence. He took time to create you, every curve of your face, every fiber of your being. And you think we can honor this God with poorly written reports, emails full of mistakes, poorly presented products? No! Stop being careless. Reread what you send. Raise the standard. If you want to see abundance, be excellent.
“A brave man and a warrior.” That’s what he was. Today we need Christians who can endure. Resilient sons of God. Not spiritual weaklings who give up at the first ‘no.’ My friend, if you don’t develop inner strength, you’ll drop off your resume everywhere and never make your mark anywhere. You’ll start projects but never see them prosper.
Resilience is the ability to face hostility. I’ve worked in toxic, hostile environments, where just thinking about Monday morning gave me a knot in my stomach by Sunday night. You know what I’m talking about? These are training grounds for your character. God sometimes allows opposition to form Christ in you. Your boss despises you? Your peers are jealous? It’s time to learn to bless those who persecute you, love those who mistreat you, and pray against the spirit that animates them. You want to break through? Learn to resist.
Sometimes skill isn’t enough. I knew a man, he was more brilliant than many, but he collapsed emotionally because of a poorly worded email. Brother, pull yourself together! Long-term success rewards those who know how to stand firm. What God is going to build with you, you have to be able to sustain it.
“A warrior.” You want to succeed in everything? Then learn strategy. David knew how to manage military strategies. He didn’t just rush in. He studied his enemies, his obstacles. You want to stand out in the business world? In the workplace? In your studies? Learn to think, to plan, to anticipate!
There are codes in every environment. You join a company? Break down its unwritten rules. Observe, adapt, analyze. Too many believers think speaking in tongues is enough to get their place. No. Daniel, in Babylon, understood the protocol. Joseph mastered the dynamics of the Egyptian court. You too, become a strategist.
Start with having a clear vision. Know where you’re going. Then, define your mission: why you’re going there. Many want to become CEOs without understanding it’s not a degree that qualifies, but your ability to carry vision. You want to be the captain of a ship? Learn to sail.
“He speaks well.” That’s another key detail. The way you speak, the way you write, all of that positions you. You can be skilled, but if you can’t express yourself, you’ll stay in the shadows. You send unclear emails, you do messy presentations, you speak with hesitation? Get trained! Learn. Don’t wait to be rich to do it.
A.I. exists, use it wisely. Learn to structure your emails, to write clearly. In a meeting, people should want to listen to you. Let your speech carry weight, let your words inspire confidence. You know how to sell a product? Very good. But also learn to sell an idea.
“Of handsome appearance.” It’s not just aesthetic, it’s prophetic. An image presented says something about you even before you open your mouth. Dress seriously. Not necessarily expensively, but clean, neat, with harmony. Even deep in the bush, you can command respect by your appearance.
When you show up poorly dressed, careless, what do you think people say about your work? “Probably just as careless as his wrinkled shirt.” Care for your presentation, your posture, your gait, your bearing. An ambassador doesn’t dress based on the country he’s in, but based on the Kingdom he represents. Represent your God with dignity!
David was “skilled in all kinds of work.” You want to stay in the same position your whole life? Never touch anything else. But you want to move forward? Learn something new. Grow your versatility. You’re a business owner? Learn accounting. Taxation. Marketing. HR.
That’s the mindset of leaders. Don’t specialize to the point of ignorance. Diversify. I’m a PhD in Law, but I study theology, management, digital marketing. You want to lead? You must expand your understanding of the world you live in. Learn. Train yourself again and again. There’s no age limit to learning. Financial stagnation always begins with intellectual stagnation.
And the last one, but above all, the most important. “The Lord is with him.” That’s the key that changes the rules of the game. God was with him. His presence accompanied him. Without that, the six other keys remain natural, limited. But with God in you, God on you and God through you, there are no more limits.
Me, I chose to make the Holy Spirit the CEO of my businesses. The headhunter of my career. I don’t move without Him. I don’t choose anything without His instruction. And He’s the one who inspires me, even when I write doctoral dissertations. His voice guides me, His fire carries me, His wisdom lives in my decisions.
The secret to lasting anointing is to seek Him constantly, dwell in His presence, serve Him with passion. Don’t do it for a contract, don’t do it for money. Serve Him because you love Him! And when He sees your commitment, when He senses that you’re living for Him, He releases favor. Like Marcel, that businessman from Douala, after just a blessing prayer, clients called him back with contracts in abundance. That’s the power of God!
1. Lord, today I understand that You want to elevate me so that I may glorify You and bless others. I dedicate my skills, my projects, and my talents to You. Make me excellent, bold, and strategic in the name of Jesus.
2. Holy Spirit, be the manager of my career, the CEO of my activities, the coach of my development. Inspire me, guide me, correct me. I want to manifest Your intelligence in my field in the name of Jesus.
🙏 If you’ve never given your life to Jesus, say this prayer in faith:
Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I need You. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Transform my life and lead me into Your path. Amen.
