Seeing Myself the Way God Sees Me, Accepting What He Says I Am – Apostle Yvan CASTANOU

Seeing myself as God sees me, accepting what He says I am

No one belongs to themselves. That doesn’t exist. If you think you own your life, it means you haven’t understood the Gospel yet. You were a slave to Satan – spirit, soul, and body – and you were sinning full-time. It wasn’t a temporary job, it was pure slavery. Jesus didn’t redeem you so you could be free to do whatever you want. He redeemed you so that you too might serve His eternal purpose.

Let my people go so that they may serve Me. (Exodus 8:1)

That is the entire reason for your salvation: you become an instrument in His hands. You’re no longer here to feed your personal agenda. But why is this message so hard to hear today? Why does it take so much teaching, persuasion, and pressure for people to serve God? Because the heart has not been conquered. And as long as the heart doesn’t move, the body won’t either. That’s our tragedy: a generation frozen in dangerous indifference.

You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32)

The problem is many hear this truth without ever knowing it. They listen, but they are not transformed. Why? Because they do not ABIDE in the Word. Jesus didn’t say “if you listen to My word,” but “if you ABIDE in My word, you are truly My disciples.” Only then will you know the truth, and the truth will set you free. It’s not shallow listening that transforms, it’s depth, it’s permanence, it’s the passion to dwell in the Word of God. This is why we have so many Christians who are believers but not disciples. They believe today, tomorrow they fall back. As soon as a wind of contradiction blows, they turn cold. Why? Because they haven’t ABIDED.

The belt of truth doesn’t stay in place for the one who hasn’t learned to meditate. We see Christians praying powerfully but without a belt. They plead with heaven, they cry out, they fast, but nothing changes. Why? Because the first weapon in the spiritual arsenal isn’t persistent prayer: it’s TRUTH. The belt of truth holds the whole armor together! You can’t stand in front of Goliath with “It is written” if inside you’re not first wearing the belt of truth at your waist or loins.

Jesus said:

The prince of this world is coming. He has no claim on Me. (John 14:30)

Does the prince of this world have something in you? A little access, a small offense, a grudge you’ve been holding since 1950 in the name of “I’m working through it”? That kind of work opens dangerous doors. That kind of unhealed wound creates breaches that authorize the enemy to enter and strike. You roar in prayer but your spiritual house is exposed. So even if Jesus delivered you once, the enemy could come back with seven other spirits more wicked than the first. (Matthew 12:43–45)

This is why Jesus, in His mercy, begins YOUR process not with casting demons out, but with construction on the inside. Many want instant deliverance. But if you want your deliverance to last, if you want it to be stable, permanent, and secure, your house must be filled. You can’t leave a house empty in the spiritual world! Jesus doesn’t cast out demons so they can return with their gang. He first wants you saturated with truth, light, and revelation. As long as lies remain, you cannot reign. As long as you see yourself as a grasshopper, you’ll never stand before the giant. (Numbers 13:33)

We know that the Lord has given you this land. (Joshua 2:9)

The enemies tremble, but the children of God retreat because they are DEFEATED BY LIES. A single weapon paralyzed an entire people: the belief that they were inferior.

There is no victory without awareness. The Holy Spirit told me this: it’s not your words that change your life, it’s your CONSCIOUSNESS. You can loudly proclaim, “I have the power to trample on scorpions!” but if deep down, you doubt—if you don’t really believe what you’re saying—no demon will obey. Because they hear your mouth, but they read your heart.

This is why so many battles fail. You attack with the wrong weapon. You want to exercise authority without first establishing the throne of truth in you. Spiritual warfare doesn’t start with prayer; it starts with the REVELATION of who you are. And that revelation doesn’t come by magic, it comes by ABIDING in the Word. You must learn to chew on it, to breathe it, to live it. You must swallow it, chew it, digest it. Every day.

And let that truth renew how you see yourself. It’s time to start seeing yourself as God sees you. Why do you still live in rejection, discouragement, a double life? Because your inner portrait hasn’t been replaced. The divine consciousness has not yet replaced the Adamic consciousness. You still think you’re weak, but God calls you HOLY, RIGHTEOUS, KING, PRIEST. You think you’re incapable, but God says you’re able to trample all the power of the enemy. (Luke 10:19) It’s time for your inner man to be reshaped. But that doesn’t happen randomly—it comes through the CUMULATIVE EFFECT of meditating on the Scriptures.

Joshua 1:8 doesn’t say meditate occasionally. It says this book MUST NOT DEPART FROM YOUR MOUTH.

It’s not possible to live an invincible life without invincible saturation. You must listen, listen, and listen again. You must do what we did: in 2002, for nearly two years, we listened to the same teachings twice a day. Because each listen doesn’t give you everything. The first time, you grasp one facet. The second, another. And so on. The Spirit transfers, builds, reshapes your core. Slowly but surely. Truth began to resculpt our way of thinking! And when the day of testing comes, you don’t need to hunt for God afar off—Christ is already ALIVE in you! It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me!

Do you want to see demons flee? Chains fall? It’s not by shouting louder—it’s by being CONSCIOUS of who you are! It’s that revelation that enables you to respond to the enemy: “You’re not confronting me. It’s the fire of the Lord of Hosts waiting for you.” That was David’s secret at 17 years old: it wasn’t him, it was the One who lived in him. You want to cast out demons? Then know this: in the Old Testament, no one was casting out demons. Gabriel never did. Michael neither. They only said, “The Lord rebuke you.”

But you, yes you, you cast out demons… did you realize what that means? It means you judge demons. And the one who judges a demon is a god. You can’t walk in this dimension unless you believe you are of the race of God. That’s why the enemy fights you—to stop you from knowing yourself! That’s why the devil does everything to keep you stuck in religion without revelation!

Start rooting yourself in truth today. You’re wasting time in a mediocre Christian life if you haven’t understood this: the key isn’t merely attending church—it’s becoming the CHURCH. Christ in you, THE HOPE OF GLORY. (Colossians 1:27)

Let us pray together

1. Lord, have mercy on me. I no longer want to be a confused believer. I want to become a rooted disciple. I want Your Word to become my daily nourishment, my source, my breath. Today, I choose to ABIDE!

2. I reject spiritual mediocrity. I don’t want to be a religious person dominated by the flesh. Awaken in me an insatiable thirst for Your truth! Make my life a burning altar of fire, revelation, and power!

3. Lord, break the old portrait of myself. Deliver me from rejection, from limitations, from fleshly reasoning. Change my inner image! Help me see myself as You see me!

If you have never given your life to Jesus, say this prayer in faith:

Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I need You. I believe that You died for my sins and rose again. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Transform my life and lead me on Your path. Amen.
