How to Access Your Next Level: The Alarms of Change – Rev. Benny DAG-ANNAN

How to unlock your next level: the alarms of change

Look closely around you… Do you feel like something needs to change in your life? Do you sense that inner dissatisfaction telling you that you’re made for more—that what you’re living today is not all that God has prepared for you? If so, that’s an alarm going off in your spirit! Don’t silence it!

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. (Romans 12:2)

This is not about a minor surface adjustment—it’s about metamorphosis, a radical transformation, like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. The Next Level, your next dimension, will not come without an active response to these spiritual alarms announcing that it’s time to change!

The worst trap: being content where God is calling you further

The biggest problem for many is not the devil, not their environment, not even their past. What’s blocking them is that they’ve settled at a level where God is no longer waiting for them!

Too many people have become used to living at a mediocre level, tolerating situations they should refuse. Yet God has placed within each one an invisible alarm called “spiritual dissatisfaction”. This inner thirst that drives us to seek more of God, to refuse a bland spiritual life, is one of the greatest blessings! As long as you’re comfortable with what is insufficient, you’ll never make the effort to move to another level.

Moses spent 40 years living as a shepherd in the desert, while his calling was to deliver a nation! When God set a burning bush before him, it wasn’t for show. It was a divine alarm.

When the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him. (Exodus 3:4)

God saw that Moses paid attention to the spiritual alarm, and it was in that moment He revealed his calling.

There are signs, alarms around you telling you it’s time to rise up. Don’t ignore them anymore!

  • If every Sunday you feel frustrated being a spectator instead of a participant in God’s work…
  • If every morning you know your job doesn’t reflect all that God has placed inside you…
  • If you’re tired of watching a world go dark without making an impact…

Then that’s a divine alarm ringing out!

The divine metamorphosis: from caterpillar to butterfly

Paul doesn’t just say in Romans 12:2 that you need a few improvements. He uses a strong word: “metamorphosis”. This is not a temporary change, not a fresh coat of paint on a worn-out wall, it’s a radical transformation in nature!

Look at a caterpillar and a butterfly:

  • They do not share the same appearance,
  • Nor the same function,
  • Nor the same speed of movement!

The caterpillar is limited to the ground, slowly creeping along, feeding on dead leaves. But when it undergoes metamorphosis, it takes flight, reaching heights it could never have imagined.

This is God’s plan for you! Until now, some have been living in survival mode, settling for spiritual, financial, or relational mediocrity. But God is saying today:

It’s time to come out of the cocoon! It’s time to accelerate! It’s time to be released from limitations!

If you’ve been stuck at the bottom, God wants to lift you up! If your progress has been slow, God wants to accelerate you!

But it all starts with awareness: you were made for more!

If you are not uncomfortable with your current life, then you’re not yet ready for transformation. The greatest changes start with a cry from the heart:

LORD, I’VE HAD ENOUGH! CHANGE ME, USE ME!

The hidden power of dissatisfaction

Everyone who marked history heard a spiritual alarm and chose to act.

  • David couldn’t stand hearing an uncircumcised man insult the God of Israel, so he rose up against Goliath.
  • Nehemiah could no longer hear of his people’s suffering without reacting, so he rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem.
  • Paul couldn’t bear to see the Gospel stop with a handful of Jews, so he preached to the nations.

Your dissatisfaction is divine fuel for destiny!

Look around you: what revolts you? What troubles you? When you see some Christians stagnating, does it bother you? When you see lost souls, do you feel the pain?

These are alarms! God is calling people who have suffered enough to decide to change things.

Silencing the alarm is a mistake

The greatest danger is turning off these alarms. Like a morning alarm clock we silence to go back to sleep, many silence God’s call!

Some feel they should pray more, but they ignore the alarm. Others know they need to be sanctified, but they hesitate. Others feel God is asking them to be more generous, but they delay.

An ignored alarm can cost an entire destiny.

Joshua 7 – Joshua and the Israelites neglected a spiritual problem, and it cost them victory over Ai.

Making the decision to change

Today is a day of decision! Either you continue to live as a crawling, limited caterpillar, or you enter your spiritual cocoon and emerge as a butterfly, ready to soar!

You are the light of the world. (Matthew 5:14–16)

Let’s pray together

Lord, I hear You today! I refuse to be an ordinary Christian, to live a mediocre life with no impact or influence. Father, today I respond to Your call. I say yes to transformation. I refuse to sit in a spiritual comfort zone. Change me, lift me, launch me forward! May I be a light that shines, a voice proclaiming Your glory, a solution to my generation. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen!

Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I need You. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Transform my life and lead me on Your path. Amen.
