Do you realize how precious God’s family is to His heart? Do you understand that you haven’t just joined a church, a group, or a community, but that you have entered into a divine family for which Jesus paid the ultimate price? Many live out their faith as consumers, as spectators, without understanding that in the Kingdom, we are called to be sons and daughters, to function as a body, as a house, as a people bound together by a bond stronger than blood: the Spirit of God.
Jesus Himself declared unequivocally in Luke 8:21: “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it.”
This is not a religious formula, it is a powerful statement: you have a spiritual family! A family that goes beyond genetics, that transcends origins, social classes, and cultures. But many miss out on this reality, treating the Church as a service and not as their own home.
But today, a reset is necessary. It is time to dive into the depths of God’s heart and understand the pressing call to build, to love, to protect, to stand for the family of God!
From the beginning, God has always worked through a family. The covenant made with Abraham was a covenant of descendants. Israel was a nation made up of families. The early Church of Jesus was not simply a congregation, but a gathering of houses.
In Acts 2:46, it is written that the early disciples “continued daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.”
Why houses? Because God does not want isolated individuals, but a people who are connected, united, rooted in brotherly love! When Jesus walked the earth, He taught that spiritual family is essential. When His own mother and brothers came to see Him and someone said, “Your mother and brother are looking for You,” He replied:
Here are My mother and My brothers
pointing to His disciples.
If today you want to be fully part of God’s plan, you must understand that you belong to a family. God is not looking for church consumers; He is looking for living stones built together in one house.
The problem is that many come to church with an individualist mindset. They seek God for themselves, for their personal blessings, for their own destiny. They pray with “me, me, me” without ever understanding that God thinks “us, us, us!”
Jesus teaches this clearly when He teaches us to pray: Our Father… Not my Father, but our Father.
Everything in the Kingdom is collective.
Yet today, in congregations, we still see how people behave. In buses, in parking lots, in church rows — they push, they don’t care whether a brother or sister is there or not, they have no awareness that every person around us matters to God.
Let’s not be hypocrites! In a normal family, a brother looks after his brother, a sister supports her sister. We check in with each other, we care about each other’s condition, we don’t leave anyone behind. Why shouldn’t we do the same in God’s house?
If your brother or sister hasn’t been around for weeks and you’re not concerned… you haven’t understood the Father’s heart! If you come just for your worship service, just to “consume” a message, and leave without building connections with your spiritual family, you are completely missing the heart of God.
The enemy hates brotherly fellowship. Why? Because he knows that we are stronger together! That’s why he uses selfishness, individualism, wounded pride, jealousy, to divide and weaken the Body of Christ. He knows that when a believer is isolated, they become vulnerable.
Look at the example of sheep! The ones that stray from the flock become easy prey.
Satan seeks to divide because he knows that a Christian detached from the body becomes ineffective, weak, and spiritually in danger.
The church is not a place where you just come to hear a message and leave. It’s a place where you should be connected, rooted in a family!
If today you are not attached to a house, to a brotherly group, if you come but no one truly knows who you are, know that you are in danger. It’s not just about you, because God also wants you to be a support for others.
Those who want to survive the end times must be connected. The house church, the spiritual family gathering, is not an option — it’s an absolute necessity!
Father, open my eyes and my heart to the reality of Your family. Deliver me from indifference and selfishness. Give me a deep love for my brothers and sisters. Teach me to carry their burdens, to surround them, to pray for them, to build with them. I refuse to be just a spectator! Make me a living stone, well-placed in Your house, rooted in Your family. In Jesus’ name, amen!
Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I need You. I believe that You died for my sins and that You rose again. Today I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Transform my life and lead me on Your path. Amen.
