What is the ultimate meaning of our salvation? Why did God call us? Why did He give us the grace to know the light, while so many others continue to walk in darkness?
Too many Christians live as if they were saved simply to accumulate personal blessings, to experience prosperity, to live a peaceful and comfortable life. But where are the saviors? Where are those who hear the call from heaven and commit to pulling souls from perdition?
Deliverers will go up on Mount Zion to govern the mountains of Esau. And the kingdom will be the Lord’s. (Obadiah 1:21)
God is looking for deliverers, men and women ready to ascend, to rise up, to respond to the call to save souls. You who are reading these words today — are you ready to answer this call? Are you ready to become a savior of men?
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money… (2 Timothy 3:1-2)
We live today in a world where selfishness reigns. Every man for himself, everyone focused on building their own comfort, multiplying their wealth, chasing personal ambitions. Even in the Church, this mindset has infiltrated our lives. We pray for our houses, our finances, our promotions — but we forget that souls are perishing every single day!
Look around you. Every day, multitudes are slipping into hell, while the world remains indifferent. We have become numb to the cry of the lost. We care more about what we will eat tomorrow than the fate of those who do not know Christ.
And yet, the one and only reason the Church exists on this earth is to save souls!
Go and make disciples of all nations… (Matthew 28:19-20)
He never said, “Go and build yourselves a nice, peaceful Christian life.” He said: “Go!” But are we actually going?
Look with your eyes, hear with your ears, and pay attention to everything I show you… (Ezekiel 40:4)
In this vision, God shows us the current state of humanity and the mission He entrusts to us.
Evangelist William Booth received a powerful vision: he saw a dark, raging ocean filled with men and women drowning. Some were crying out desperately for help, others were sinking in silence. But in the middle of this sea, a great rock stood tall. Those who had been saved from the water stood upon it, safe from harm.
But here’s what was terrifying: instead of mobilizing to rescue those still drowning, most of the saved were… distracted! Some were absorbed in their business and careers, others were cultivating flowers, still others wasting time in absurd theological debates. Meanwhile, souls kept perishing right before their eyes!
Aren’t we just like those saved on the rock? Too preoccupied with our personal lives to extend a hand to those who are sinking? Where are the men and women willing to dive back into the stormy waters to pull out souls? Where are those who will take God’s call seriously?
I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart… (Romans 9:1-3)
Paul understood what it means to be a savior of men. He was tormented, not for himself, but for those who were lost.
The true love of God compels us to act. God’s love is not just an emotional or theoretical concept. It is a force that propels us to go after souls. It disturbs us. It removes our selfish comfort and pushes us to get up, go out, speak, witness, pray for the lost, intercede, and fast for their salvation.
Let’s do a simple calculation:
Deliverers will go up. (Obadiah 1:21)
God is not just looking for believers, He’s looking for deliverers.
Have you ever led even one person to Jesus? If today were your last day on earth and you found yourself before God, could you present to Him even a single soul that you saved?
Father, today I rise with a renewed heart. I recognize that I’ve been selfish, indifferent to the cry of the lost souls. Lord, change my heart, place the burden of salvation within me. Do not let me sleep peacefully while others perish. Make me a deliverer, a savior of men, a bearer of Your message. Today I make the commitment to go, to testify, to speak, to pray, to intercede — because I refuse to sit idly by while hell fills up. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen!
🙏 If you’ve never given your life to Jesus, pray this prayer with faith:
Lord Jesus, I recognize that I need You. I believe that You died for my sins and that You rose again. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Transform my life and lead me on Your path. Amen.
